We are going down right after Thanksgiving and want to get a little disney tree. Anyone know how much they are and what comes with it?

Thanks,
Margaux

Why not just get on the list for the tree that is passed around through this site? I'll look around for the thread and come back and link it for you.

I didn't have to look far! It was only a couple of posts down from this one! Check HERE for the Christmas tree list.

I recall back in 2004 they were $149 from WDW Florist. It had been delivered to the front desk as i was picking up my FREE DIS DVC Christmas Tree for VWL. Boy was I glad we were on the list! :goodvibes

Besides, I would have stuffed that thing in the back of the minivan and back to Texas for $149! :rotfl:

I bought one from Disney Florist last Dec. It was $250 about 5 ft. tall (sat nicely on a table in the corner). It was very nice but I could have put it together for half that probably. Then for another $25 they shipped it home for me.

At the Christmas store in DTD they did have a small pre-decorated tree for sale for under $40. We looked at it in June, maybe as you get closer to the holidays they run out of those, but DH and I thought it was a reasonable price to pay for such a tree.

We're doing the pass along tree again, so it was just a fishing expedition for us.

Thanks for all the tips. We are already on the list for the tree, but we have no tree yet donated. Plus we wanted to get the small tree since it is going to become our daughter's tree in her room for years to come. We think we'll just get a tree from target here and take it down with us and have her pick out her soft ornaments for it.

Thanks though!

That sounds like a good plan. We usually take Christmas lights down and put them on our balcony rail at OKW when we are there anytime between Thanksgiving and the end of the year.

Hey diane how do you attach the lights w/o marring the paint? I'd love to do this, but would be afraid of causing damage.
Thanks

I want to know the same thing! When I brought lights down for Christmas, I wound the lights thru the railing to keep them in place, but that uses up alot of lights, and it doesn't look as good as nice U-shaped loops on the outside. :)

WHen we decorate for Halloween we use holders that I picked up at Jo Ann Fabrics (look around the lights section). Some have a little grip and a suction cup (for hanging around the windows) and others have a backing like those Picture hanging hooks that you can pull off and it doesn't mar the paint and the front has little hooks. Not a great description but once you see them you'll know what I mean.

Don't forget a hook for the front door decoration and garland to decorate around the door (which reminds me, we need more orange & black garland for October).

I don't know if there is a KBtoys near you but I was there today & they have 2 very cute trees. One is green with a Tink topper & decorations the other is blue with Cindy. They are about 2 feet high & only $20.
