How much do you use...

I hardly use mine at all. I have a quick cuts. I like it but just find it takes too long to cut. Then I won at a crop a wizzard. Which I think I have used maybe 10 times.
I love rub on letters for my scrap pages...so addicted to them!
I find I use my die cut when I am in a swap but since I swore of swapping the stuff stays in the box.

I don't have one myself, but I use my sister-in-law's Sizzix all the time. She doesn't have a lot of time for scrapbooking because of school, so I think I've used her Sizzix more than she has. I try to convince my brother to buy her the alpha sets for Christmas and birthday, and usually try to get the ones I like. :lmao:

When I get my tax refund next week, I think I'm going to get a Cricut. :)

I hardly ever use my Sizzix. I just got ABC's for Christmas and I've used them once since Christmas and that is one more time then I have in the last 6 months.

I use my Sizzix everytime I scrapbook! I love mine! I have the Original and the Sidekick and use both frequently, depending on what I am cutting. I have 4 towers of the red, yellow and green dies and I have 10 Sizzlit Alphabets! Currently I am in the middle of a Disney page and using the Nouveau Alpha. I absolutely love that font! :)

I think it all depends on what you do with your scrapping. If you think you would use a die cutting system frequently, then you can get a Sizzix at a great price, like Piratesmate said, at Creative Express. I have a friend who has a Sizzix with just about everything you can buy for it and it sits collecting dust on a shelf.

Good luck with your decision! Sizzix was definitely my best purchase, I have had it for about 2 years now and I would never part with mine! :)

Ok, I know the Sizzix, SideKick, Quickcuts, & Cuttelbug, all use die cuts and you have to purchace them seperate, some can be interchanged.

Can you use the Cricut and Wishblade as connecting words, like make one title like "Happy Birthday" or is it indavidual letters?

I've looked at Cricut at Wal-mart here and its $169, and $59 for cartridge. So am thinking about it, but not too sure about the $$$ for it.

Thanks!
Sharon

Wishblade is coming out with a new version at CHA this week that will come with software to weld letters together. Right now, you have to download another (free) program to do it. Or you can cut out individual letters too. You can use any TTF that you have on your computer for that.

I'm no expert on the cricut, but I believe with each cartridge there is a few sayings that are welded together. But other than that you have to use individual letters. $169 is a great price for a cricut though!

Thank you, PBLM!!
With so many types of die cutting machines it's too confusing!!! Yes, I would agree that $169 is a good price. I've looked on the computer and have found $250 to be the least.

I'm definitely going to get the Xyron personal cutting system (now I've found it £99.99 online :rolleyes1 ). It comes with an alphabet and a set of shapes, and the extra aplhabets etc. are only £19.99 (and you can cut each letter/shape in 3 sizes) so I think that's the best option for me. I'll let you know how I get on.:)

Have fun with your new die cutting tool!

I have a sizzix with 5 sizzlit alphabets, 1 alphabar and 2 original alphabets and use it all the time. Even though I have some other shapes; I mostly use it to make titles. I love adding titles to my pages. My favorites are Girls are Weird and Monkey Tails.

I also have quickutz with for smaller fonts. And use those too. I originally bought it because I wanted to Eliza mini font.

I do find it time consuming to make the letters, but they do make the layouts look great.

Has anyone looked at alphabets on www.scrappyland.com? I thought there prices were pretty good and they send email coupons and sales to me. They sell quickutz, Boss, Ciruit and cuttlebug.
