How much do you tip?

It depends on what I am having done that day and how much of her time i took up. Usually 20% but sometimes more. She will come on on her day off for me and I feel that is very deserving of a larger tip as I know how much I do not like to hear about work on my day off.

I wonder for this one --- I don't tip at all for my friend who has a secret basement business at her house. Cause she gets it all. Is this proper for me not to tip her?

That's my theory when the owner is doing my hair.

20% but my stylist keeps getting promoted, so it's getting quite expensive! My daughter sees someone with less experience at this same place, and we tip her about $5 for a $25 cut.

Okay, I don't tip anything, because get this - it is a no tipping salon! I kid you not, the front desk has a sign that says "please enjoy our non tipping environment."

In other salons, I have tipped around 20%.
