For bringing your bags up to your room? Just trying to see if I've been a big cheapo, or wonderful tipper! And what I need to do for this years trip! hehe :cool1:

I have never tipped them in my life. The only tip I have ever done was for the bus driver in DC and I tipped them 20 bucks i think. also I do not let bellhop carry my bags. it is a waste of time and I have 2 hands and 2 feet for a reson

:rotfl: That's how we are too! We usually have a lot of stuff with us, in addition to the bags, our cooler ect... So it's nice when we stay onsite for them to come out with one of those carts! Plus showing us where the room is helps too!

We used to mainly stay offsite at places where we lugged our stuff to the room with no problem. But with staying onsite there really didn't seem like much of a choice. They were at our car and ready to load up the cart before I could say anything either way (not that I would hehe).

Besides I'm sure it isn't one of the best paying jobs in the world, I imagine they really appreciate the tips.

I agree. My brother worked as a bellhop to put himself through college; they make just about nothing and rely on tips. We usually give about $2 - $3 per bag, depending on service.

Okay good, I gave $5 last year, so that works out about right per bag. I'll probably give about the same then this year! :)

We also do $1/bag. DH's family has been in the hotel business for years, and that is pretty typical.
