How much do you think you walk?

DGF wore a pedometer the last two times and we walked anywhere from 8-17 miles in a day, just depends on what we wanted to do. The hotel was just under 1/2 mile each way and we made a few trips back and forth.

I think I walk around 50 miles, but I bet I'm wrong! :rotfl:

Do you guys think that the rides can throw off the pedometers? I'm just wondering, because it does seem motion can set them off. I have no doubt people are walking 10-12 k in the parks on an average day, though. I'm sure we walked around that much, too. Sometimes we'd be in California Adventure Park, and then go to Disneyland, then back again, etc. Or, we'd be on one end of DL, decide to go on a ride at the other end, and walk over there. I'm sure all of you do that too, though, it's all part of the fun. :woohoo:

They probably can effect them a bit.

My office and home are less than 5 miles apart...I might start walking to work in 100+ F* just to get into shape!

My trip starts July 29! SoCal, here we come!

That sounds like a good idea, Mac_Daddy. In fact, I am "in training" for my August trip already. I usually walk 13,000 to 14,000 steps a day but by the end of the month I want to get between 18,000 to 20,000 a day so that I have the endurance to do everything on my "to-do" list. :cool1:

After reading other responses I wonder if I need to crank out a few more steps each day to prepare. :confused3

I got a some friendly laughs on a previous post when I said I do increase my walking or train for the Disney trip. It gets over 100 around here, so I think it helps. But for an old guy, I am in pretty good shape to start with.
Just did a mile brisk walk then went 4 wheeling for another mile, my DGF's pedometer did not change with the 4 wheeling, so in a very un-scientific method that hers does not change.
