Hey all,
While reading through many threads here, and the bra thread more specifically, I always realize different people have different habbits in spending money. Sometimes I see amounts mentioned from which I think "so much money for that!" and sometimes I think "are you able to find that for such a small amount of money?"
So, how much do you spend on the following items/ services:
- Bra
- Panties
- Shoes ("real" shoes)
- Sneakers/ sport shoes
- Jeans
- (T)shirts
- Hairdresser
- Manicure/ pedicure
- Vacation (per person)
Note: this is not to brag, just to get a view on people's ideas about how much you can spend on what item/ service.
If you have some you want to know about, we can always add it to the list!
Here I go:
- Bra: Simone Pérèle, +/- 85 EUR ($106), Wonderbra Pure +/- 35 EUR ($44)
- Panties: Simone Pérèle (matching with the bras) +/- 40 EUR ($49) or DIM/ Sloggi +/- 10 EUR ($12)
- Shoes ("real" shoes): somewhere between 90 and 175 EUR ($112 and $219)
- Sneakers/ sport shoes: between 50 and 100 EUR ($62,5 and $125)
- Jeans: +/- 50 EUR ($62,5)
- (T)shirts: around 30 EUR ($37) for t-shirts and between 50 and 100 EUR ($62,5 and $125) for the polo shirts I wear to golf. Sometimes I am guilty of buying an indecently priced top or blouse from brands like Anne Fontaine. (+/- 250 EUR)
- Hairdresser: +/- 70 EUR ($87) for a haircut + taking care of my curls. I do the colour myself at home.
- Manicure/ pedicure: I do my manicure and pedicure myself, and once in a while, I have a "medical" pedicure done (meaning they take care of my nails without putting nail polish on them). That costs me 15 EUR ($19)
- Vacation (per person): My "big" vacation costs me about 2000 EUR, and that doesn't include the shopping I do. Next to that, I take short trips to DLP (around 300 EUR without shopping), city trips (around 500 EUR without shopping), and every other year, I go skiing for a week (around 800 EUR).
Now, I am still "alone", no DH, no kids, no more loans to pay, and I don't have real costs, since I still live with my parents. This allows me to spend a little more money on certain things. But, over the years, I have also experienced that the more expensive stuff is usually of a better quality, and lasts longer, so in the end, seen over a longer period, you spend around the same amount of money.
Next to that, I don't smoke (great savings!) and it's not part of our culture to go to restaurants often (another great savings)
