I spent about 400 pounds this last trip, but not much of it was at Disney!

Got some of my souveniers at Disney online and then other stuff at the outlet shop.

Most of the stuff was for my hobbies some I had ordered beforhand and shipped it to the resort, saving shipping costs to Europe. So that was some stuff for lampworking and then I spent about $200 on crafts stuff at Michaels.

What with the dollar to euro rate it's so much cheaper to get things over there. And when you're on holiday you're not as stingy than at home

Anybody ever have any hassle off customs when they arrive back in this country?

Most of the time theres never anyone there but once we did get asked why we had 5 huge bags for three of us !!!

I got stopped in belfast 2 years ago and asked what I had. just a few costumes for the kids The customs officer lauged and waved me on I had 5 cases and a cinderella castle

We arrived back today and I packed really light, I forgot to pack the spare holdall! We ended up buying a $15 holdall at Formosa gardens night before last to get the stuff home. We all got winter jackets (DH's timberland one was $55 - real bargain) but our major spend (still only £120) was at the Disney store at the Florida Mall, I always find this place a real bargain for kids pressies - we did all the childrens christmas pressie shoping including their cousins and friends for that, I think I've cut my cost of christmas down to a third this year and the bonus is, it's all done! The childrens costumes and accessories were on special there, shoes were $6.99 and costumes $21 - real bargains. DD and her friends are at the age when they love the dressing up and I wouldn't be able to buy them all Disney store quality costumes for christmas if I bought them here, and they pack light!

I know what you mean Wayne, my first house, a three bed end of terrace was £4,000,

My first house is also a 3 bed end on terrace, we Purchased is about a year ago for £174,000! It was "cheap" because it needed a bit of work doing but luckily DH plays golf with a builder who did all the work for cost of the materials. The house down the road, exactly the same as ours has just sold for £205,000

Glad i managed to get a property when i did! My mortgage payments certainly are not £180 a month though
