How much do you pay your babysitter?

I have 2 boys (almost 2 and 6) and my 14 yr old niece is babysitting tonight while we go to the Pat's game!

I think I tend to over pay so I am just wondering what would be a good hourly rate?

OMGosh ...could I come babysit for you??? I have excellent refereces, my ECE and my CPR and police clearance. Opps...also I own my own daycare. I would love to charge $10.00 an hour. The average price that I charge for an 8 hour day is around $25.00. And since there is 2 children my price is 1/2 off 2nd child. So basiclly 37.50 for the both. That also includes meals and snacks....

I have a 6 and 4 year old and generally we pay about $5 an hour but usually round up. For 3 hours or so we usually give a $20.

so I can fit nicely in between the 2 of you!! I was thinking $8 hour and then round up to the nearest $5...so if it were $48 I'd pay $50.

I pay 10.00 an hour for one 5 year old child.

I get paid $5 an hour to watch one 2 year old. They usually round up. The last 2 times up there I was there 3 1/2 hours. Got paid for 4 hours. And she wrote a check; she didn't have the wrong change.
For the other, newer charges (that I usually pawn off on my sister ) we each get paid $7 an hour (even if we watch them alone) for 4 kids. 2 in diapers. One just recently potty trained. The oldest is 8.
