I just received a letter in the mail, stated our cable for internet is going from $29.99 to $34.99. I also pay a rental fee for the cable modem of $5.00. Plus we have digital cable with a tier and that is going up a $1.00

I can get rid of the tier and go buy my own cable modem. But I have had Charter cable for 3 years and it has gone up $5.00 a year. If anything I thought it would go down because so many people are now using cable instead of the phone for internet. Guess I was wrong. I just checked with a dial-up service in our area, and we can go back to $8.99. Only problem is we got rid of our land line phone and we all have cells.

What does everyone else pay?

$36.00 per month DSL
$36.00 unlimited phone w/ same company

15% discount per month for package, so its not really 72 a month

we pay $28 a month for AOL dial-up...Dial up sucks..some day maybe I can talk DH into going to Cable

60 a month for direcway (satelite). Dial up sucks. Direcway is not a whole lot better some of the time! But, the phone lines in our area suck too, so we have a tough time either way (out in the country- old lines that go out at the drop of a hat).
I wish we had cable or DSL access..... maybe some day.

dial up.....$17 with AT&T.
No problems so far. Not super fast, but it is what I am used to ;)

Mine bill from Time Warner breaks down like this:

$39.95 for regular channels and digital tier channels (about 120 channels)
$10.00 for 12 channels of HBO including HBO on demand
$39.95 for roadrunner internet
$15.00 for monthly rental of digital converter/dvr unit

$44.95/month; part goes to Time Warner for the cable modem, part goes to RoadRunner for the ISP. It would be cheaper if we had cable TV too, but we have DirecTV....

29.95 verizon dsl. It is usually 34.95, but we get 5.00 off/month because of the particular phone package we have.

I don't remember the exact breakdown but, between the digital cable (no movie or pay channels) and the internet, I pay comcast almost $100 a month! If I drop the digital tv it's only about $14 less. Until I move I'm stuck with comcast. We can't get dsl here and aol is the only dial-up.

I think ours is $44.95 for Roadrunner. I hate paying that much! I want Verizon'a FIOS service (fiber optics), but they haven't laid the lines in our neighborhood yet. I think it's coming soon though because they've been marking the electric & gas lines around here. Once that comes in, I think we're going to switch.

$45/month to Comcast cable broadband + rental fee for modem (around $4 I think)

I have Charter but have Direct Tv so I pay 44.95. I run up to 6 computers at a time off of wireless though so I feel like I am getting a heck of a deal. They have actually lowered my price in the past few years which I was surprised over. Highspeed internet is priceless to me. I would literally pay double and not complain.

Right now we are paying just over $60 for DSL,local and long distance telephone service, digital expanded basic cable with HBO and on demand

This is a big improvement from what we were paying...Cable was around $85(same service we have now,Bellsouth internet and local phone was $89 and At&T long distance was around $50 every couple of months(varied)

Now everything is with Mediacom.

$49.99 per month for Optimum Online Cable Broadband. I could never go back to dial-up.

I have no idea how ours breaks down really. It's just wrote out in a very confusing way.

We get our cable (close to 400 channels which includes digital plus channels), all the HBOs, Cinemax, Showtime, and Starz channels (32 premium channels total) our intenet connection (which is faster than a normal cable connection) which includes the rental for the cable modem and the box we need for cable for $126.00 a month.

I have no idea what's what though. I know with it being packaged, there is built in savings.

This is with Adelphia.

Edit:

Okay, I'm looking at the bottom of this one page given out by the cable company (we save it) and it looks like I pay $29.95 for the internet and it would be $42.95, but I did get an upgrade on the connection and that's not listed.

$50 for speakeasy DSL but I'm switching to cable when BF moves in. I tried to get it when I moved here but didn't have access to the backyard where the box is. Now that I know my neighbors better, hopefully I will be able to make the switch. I'll miss DirecTV though :(

I pay $49.99 a month for DSL with a $5.00 discount EVERY month. :goodvibes Our total bill comes to $125 a month and that's DSL, long distance, and a phone package. Comes out MUCH better than what DH and I were doing before. Didn't want cable in my home, so I decided DSL was the way to go.

We just got a notice that our Adelphia cable modem access is going from $44.95 to $47.95 a month starting in January 2006.
