We go to DL 12-11 to 12-16. I always over pack. What would you pack for these days? The trip is me and dd 7 and 1/2 ( and her godmother, who I don't have to pack for :rotfl: )

glad you asked this question! I am been wondering what all I should pack too and I am sure I will over pack at least for my DD that is 3.5.

I'm curious too! I over packed by about 80% on our trip!!! I was very annoyed with myself!

Well since I just packed our bags. hahaha I packed

two outfits for each day for my dd age 5. There was a thread I had started where someone said they put each outfit in a zip lock bag to make it easier, and the mornings go smoother and faster. Well I can tell you this, it makes packing easier too! and more room!! also gives Georgia a chance to semi pick what she wants to wear for the day.

I pack at least one to two extra pairs of pants over as many days we will be there. and maybe 3 shirts over ( I tend to spill alot) and two pairs of socks and undies for each day.

two sets of Jammies for us all. two sweatshirts and a jacket for each. then our walkin shoes.

that is just our clothing. if its during a rainny season a poncho or something to that nature.

Then we have a back pack to take in the park with water, snacks, blanket, a book or something for Georgia to play with or read or color for those moments she get restless. grap one of those zip lock baggies with the clothing (see they come in handing packing her stuff like that. haha) just incase something happens. a mini first aid kit. ( I dont go overboard with this, because there are first aid stations in the Parks)

It's too funny you ask this. We are going to DL 11/28-12/2 and I'm packing for 5. I've heard it is cold in the early a.m. and late p.m.. For my girls 9,6 I've packed a pair of jean and capris for each day along with a long sleeve and short sleeve top to go with. I figure we will layer when it is colds. I took 2 pair of pj's and two pair of shorts just incase it's really hot. For my son, he's a bit younger (3) so I took a few more changes of clothes just incase of a potty accident. If you want I'll let you know what the weather is like when we get back so you will have a better idea of what you may need.

that would be great and that would give us a idea what it is like long with checking the weather when it is time to pack...

Well actually taking a little break but I always overpack. It me, DH, DS (6) and DD (3).

For the kids, I have shorts, short sleeve shirts, pants, long sleeve shirts, undies/panties and socks for everyday that we are there. Oh ya and 3 pairs of Jammies each. We are going to be gone a total of 7 days.

For DH and I it varies but definately not as much as the kids. Oh my and lets not forget the toiletries and swim wear. I pack way too much everytime.

Well, it seems I am not the only one who way over packs. It always seems like I bring home more clean clothes then dirty.

Count me in...another over packer here. I just think you have to be ready for anything!

Do let us know...you could possibly help me NOT over pack this trip. :) My husband will thank you!!

Another over packer here! I've been caught one too many times without a warm enough jacket or freezing ears and hands at night time! I always pack gloves and a scarf in the winter time. There's nothing worse than sitting 2 hours waiting for fireworks and freezing to death! It's also much better to over pack than to have to buy and expensive item to wear that you already have 2 of back home! I also always throw in my umbrella...even if it's not suppose to rain. When I was there in October there was no mention of rain anywhere but when we woke up the our second day there...it was raining!!! Always pack your umbrella! It's $10.00 to buy one at the park.

Okay well count me in amongst the UNDERpackers. Hmm, are there even any of those? Maybe I'm the only one :scratchin

I have a reason though. Long haul flight with 4 kids under 10 equates to lots of hauling of luggage for 4 kids under 10. So the less the better.

We'll be there next week, as well as another 2 weeks in Cal and here's what I packed for each kid:

2 jeans
2 shorts
5 tees
5 long-sleeve
hoodie
jacket
assorted socks and underwear

That's in total, not per day :rotfl: I really don't care if the kids wear the same pair of jeans for a week. Eh, so they get a little dirty. I don't know anybody over there ;) And besides there's a laundry everywhere we go. And it's a most excellent excuse to buy Disney sweatshirts.

Oh and i used the ziplock bag packing method too. It rocks! Saves sooo much space. :thumbsup2 Now I have much more space for the zillions of stuff the kids will buy while we're there.

I usually pack just right when I'm going. For me, DF & DD, I always pack only 1 pair out 'outside' clothes (in ziplock bags) for each person. During this time, it's FREEZING. I'm from san francisco, but am not used to weather in Socal. Make sure you bring a thick jacket - that's what saved us freezing our butts off. Also, when you watch fantasmic, make sure you bring a light blanket - because you MAY get wet if you sit too close. I'll try to think of more things to pack - but just ask away!

Will do. I know that on previous trips over I've taken much more stuff, most of which stays in the bottom of the suitcase. Picture me, stumbling around bleary-eyed and jet-lagged in the morning trying to get everyone out the door.

"Go get dressed honey"

"But Mum, can't I just wear the same thing I had on yesterday, it's my most favouritest shirt in the whooooole world and I just love it and Tigger touched me on the shoulder while I was wearing that shirt and all my other shirts have those tags that itch my neck but not this shirt this one is purple and purple is my most favouritest colour in the whooooole world and it's got the white writing on it that shows up in the dark and I like that bit because then it doesn't feel so scary and then you can see where I am mummy and it's got the sticker on it that the man gave me and I stuck it right here so I wouldn't lose it."

Pause.

"Does it smell?"

"Not really"

"(Yawn) Fine, whatever, let's go"

:lmao: That's hilarious cookiedude!!! I can just picture the whole speach! Priceless!:lmao:

hahaha that sounds likes something Georgia would say.

I'm an overpacker too. On our very first DL trip, we were going to be in SoCal for 2 weeks. We had planned DL, USH, SFMM and Laguna Beach, as well as visiting family. I had no idea how nice to dress, etc. So I packed a huge suitcase full of clothes and a smaller suitcase with nothing but shoes. That's right...shoes. :scared1: However, after wearing my Skechers the first afternoon we were in DL (ouch), I wore nothing but flip flops for the rest of our trip. Needless to say, my DH was less than pleased with me. :rotfl:

Our next trip is the first week of December and I will only be taking the huge suitcase this time. My two pairs of Crocs and two pairs of flip flops should fit quite nicely in it. ;)
