How much do you go??

After long 9 years(1996) we went with our 4 1/2 yr old DS in April 2005. Since I knew I was pregnant I had a little savings for WDW. I always knew I wanted to take my child before he hit elementary school(and we had to go in summer months). Now I hope we can start going every other year. I don't want to go past 3 years without going to Disney. Everything is there for every age so I look forward of doing new things each time. We stayed at POP this past April. It was great. My DS keeps asking about a beach. I haven't really found any good friendly family beaches on the east coast so I am saving to stay at CBR. That counts right? :earboy2: He saw pictures of CBR and he said that is cool

We try to go at least 2-3 times a year to stay at a resort. (Usually one of those trips are for a week, and the other two are just maybe overnight.)
We also go up to WDW for the day at least 10 times per year as well.

We live right outside of Tampa.

We have been about 8 times in the last 11 months. Two of those trips were for a week the rest were weekend trips. It helps when you can get there in 1-1/2 hours and you have an AP.

It's usually 3 years for us. It takes us that long to convince my husband that the mouse is calling his name. :earboy2:

I live 10 minutes from WDW property. I don't go every day. I usually go to Epcot, MGM and MK at least once a month. Sometimes I run over to a theme park to pick up something for my business, but it actually takes a bit of time to drive over, park, take the tram, etc. Real life tends to get in the way even when you live next door. I do go to DTD several times a week.

We go two or three times a year. I would like to stay in every Disney Resort at least once. Right now we are about 20% there. The more you go the more hidden Mickey's you see and there is always something new to do or see. The best was in 2004 we got to open Mickeys Toon Town. Mickey gave us a personal tour of his house and the took us to the judges tent for pictures and autographs. It was so cool because it was just us and Mickey.

When we had the three kids home we could only afford to go once every two years at best...After kids grew up and left we started going once a year. Last year due to business conferences for my DH in northern Florida we went 4 times to WDW and Universal, that was great but a once in a lifetime thing for us I am sure...Normally now it will be once a year we say, but we are going in September for our second trip this year, so my answer will be once or twice.... :sunny:

This will be our 5th trip to the world, our first family trip. Now that we have our daughter we plan on going every other year. So much changes year to year at WDW. And my daughter will experience things differently everytime we go as she gets older.

And to all of you who's children are all grown up and not wanting to vacation with the parents anymore. Just remember you will have grandchildren someday to expereience the world with all over again. My parents are very very excited to do Disney world again with a small child. And this time, they can spoil without guilt! :Pinkbounc

I am trying to work the hubby into going once a year even if it's just for two or three days. It's just an hour and 15 minute flight from where we are and we can usually get a roundtrip filght for around $125. We just got back and I miss it already. I am planning the trip next year for the opening of Mount Everest :cheer2: . I would like to SQUEEEEEZE in a trip to IOA around the end of November beginning of December. We'll have to see what Hurricane season has in store for us this year. I am DEFINITELY the resident Disney freak in my house...from the top of my Golden Ears( :earsgirl: ) to the bottom of my TinkerBell Flip-Flops. We'll see what happens.

Not enough for me. The last time I went was in '01. I wanted to go for my honeymoon at the end of the month, but the fiancee put a stop to that. She said, "You can plan the honeymoon, I don't want to, BUT, no Disney World!" So then I got to thinking...ummm, she said no WDW, but she didn't say anything about Disney Land as a stop over on the way to Hawaii! Unfortunately she figured out what I was thinking and put a stop to that as wel. Oh well...maybe next year.
