How much do the face characters/performers earn?

Just curious, had a bus driver tell me this morning that she worked part time, and didn't work there for the money but that she did for the benefits/passes.
She said the characters in costumes where there face is covered, earn about her wage, and the other ones, whose faces are shown.........earn more.

Currently, face performers get a $2.75 premium. It was just recently raised.
