I know, I got lucky yesterday. For the heck of it, I thought I’d try and got one, I am walking it to end of December now. Was not my intent but I was up and had time. I had figured I’d end up with garden view, but when I was able to book, I figured it was worth it,

That was lucky :)

I can travel any time of the year, so point charts influence a lot when I book. Until now late January and September was the best combination of low point charts, low crowds and plentiness of DVC availability. But I have also bought a few points more in order to get flexibility on when to book, so it's not like I need to book in the lowest season. I want to stay in early December next time, to enjoy the holiday season at WDW for the first time, so even with slightly higher price I'll stick with the plan.
