I remember feeding the dolphins when I went to Seaworld years ago. I was wondering if anyone knows how much the fish cost that you can feed to the dolphins? I also heard that you can feed the sea lions? I am trying to budget for our upcoming trip. Thanks.

$5.00 per tray, $4.00 if you're a passholder. you can also feed the seals, sea lions, and stingrays.

How many fish are in a tray? Do the seals, sea lions and stingrays eat the same fish? Thanks so much for this information.

4 fish per tray usually. the stingrays eat sardines, the others eat herring. the seals and sea lions are located in pacific point, and the dolphin and stingrays are in key west.

Thank you so much for this information! I know this will be a highlight for my boys and I just wanted to plan appropriately! Thanks.

Its usually worth it for one member of your party to buy at least a silver annual pass. Free parking vs $10, and $1 off animal feeding food plus 10% of people food adds up real fast. One person can buy all the animal/people food for your group with a pass at the discount. One tray per person is never enough. :teeth:

Feeding the stingrays is my favorite SW activity. It's just something you can't do anywhere else. All parks WDW, Busch, have rides and roller coasters etc. But only at SW can you pet the rays and fins.

Sometimes the stingray trays have shrimp. There are signs warning do not feed sting ray food to the dolphins. No doubt the fins get the star diet.

Get there early and go to Key West to see when the first sting ray and dolphin feeding times are. Usually around 10 10:30 11 ish. Before the first stadium shows, so it is good timing.

Often by 1 or 2 PM all the food quota for the day is gone, so if you do not make one of the before noon feeding times you may miss out for the day.

Feeding the sharks at Shark Encounter the other day there were 6 fish (I only remember because DD an DGN each wanted a tray, and I said at that point 3 fish each was enough - it was early in the day and we still had the Sea Lions, rays and dolphins to visit...)

Yeah, bring lots of cash, because the food goes fast. In the Key West area, you'll need to buy at least 3 trays. The dolphins know who has the food and they come directly to that person. The people on the side can get a touch or two, but it's the person with the fish who gets the most attention.

Agree that a season pass is worth it for at least one person. It will give you free parking, $1 off fish food, and a free ride in the sky tower, plus discounts at the restaurants.

Discounts at restaurants and stores... all things but film, batteries and medications......

Hi not that long back and at sea lions they had 4 trays for $10 saved /$9 passport member :thumbsup2

I may be in the minority here, but I don't understand why visitors have to BUY the food to feed the Dolphins etc. Seaworld is responsible for providing food for them, why can't they just hand you the fish to feed them, not like anyone will walk around the park all day with raw fish or eat it themselves. I just don't think they should charge us for Fish.

If you want to experience a park, you pay admission. They then charge you big time extra for things like food and souvenirs.

Yes they have to feed the fins anyway. But, if you want to pet one you need fish, so you pay for the extra activity, not included in the basic park admission. If you want to play, you pay.

Only things free in Orlando are air, sunburns, traffic jams and getting rained on. Only because Orlando has not figured out how to charge for them---yet. :teeth:
