I have decided to go with a WDW wedding, I would like to know how much your wedding cost? What is the normal price range?
The plans I have with a hotel room are around $16,000 without fireworks and $19,000 with fireworks. No reception for either choice, just a quick bite at the 24 hour Deli in the GF (nobody in our family is going to eat $125 worth of food per person). With the honeymoon to Ireland, the total price average is around $23,000.

Also I would like the MK photo session but I would also like the 8 hour photo package, is that possible? Or should I hire someone else non-Disney?

My intimate was £1,700 no accomadation so that would work out about $3000 plus extra floral wands/corsages/boutonnieres etc another $175. Accomadation, flights, 14 day disney tickets, car hire for everyone mounted up to £17,000 which is about $30,000. Plus $650 for Randy, $400 for video, $500 for food as we are only going to 1900 Park Fare. My dress was £1000 which is about $1700 plus accessories an extra $300 and it is costing $350 for everyone to have their hair done on the morning of the wedding. Gosh it soon mounts up! Grooms outfit and best man etc must be about £500 so $900, bridesmaids £200 converts to $350. Party when we get home is going to be about £3000/$5550. I am getting good at converting £ to $! That is pretty scarying, i am sure i have missed a few things out too! If i do my maths it is pretty close to $45,000 dollars but worth every penny and everyone is getting a holiday of a lifetime! :teeth:

Hi sorry to but in on the thread but Cinderella who is doing your video? $400 is such a good price compared to the disney quote

I mentioned it on your other thread, but be sure to check with a Disney Wedding Coordinator to be sure that you can not have a reception. I’m pretty sure that Custom Weddings are required to have receptions. For sure you must meet the minimum food & beverage requirement, so you’ve really got to have a reception I believe.

There may be some ways to reduce your costs. Can you give us an idea of what the $16,000 includes in your estimate?

My wedding cost $24,500 paid to Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings. The honeymoon (at WDW) was around $6,000. We spent $10,500 outside of Disney on things like the dress, invitations, favors, etc. for a total of $41,000 including the honeymoon. This was for a Custom with 78 guests.

Yes, sure. Lets see in the ceremony I chose was,
The Wedding Pavilion $2,200
The Cinderella Couch $2,500
The Romantic Elegance Bouquet $325
Violinist $425
The 8-hour videography $2,450
The MK photo session $800
The Mixed French Bouquet for the brides maids $1,200(for 4)
Wedding Unity Candle $200

Total for this $10,100
To add fireworks ($2,500) = $12,600

The Grand Floridian Honeymoon room is $6,540.12

New total is $16,640.12 without fireworks.
New total is $19,140.12 with fireworks

Well you could make it alot less. There is cheaper videographers ( stvs wedding video, A cut above). If you meant a photographer Randy Chapman will cover that time frame for $1,800. Your brides maids bouquets won't cost $300. each.I know it is in the wish book but Laura told me that a regular rose bride size bouquet (10 in diameter) is only $200. And you wouldn't want the bridesmaids to be bigger than yours ? An organist is included in the price of the pavilion and it isn't like the organ you think of. It sounds amazing! And I think it can even sound like a violin if that is the sound you want. Or you can bring a cd for them to play. I think a dessert party would come out much cheaper than fireworks at the pavilion. Plus they would get the food while they watched. How many people are coming ? If it is 18 guest or less you would come out considerably cheaper going that way. You do need to ask if it is ok if you don't have a "formal reception "What time is the ceremony. I think the dessert party would be a good alternative for you. You could have your cake at it so you could have those shots. And the fireworks pic are to die for there!!!! I hope that alll made sense :thumbsup2

Im having an intimate but my budget is:

Intimate Package (at the Wedding Pavillion) 3200.00
Extra Hour of Photography 175.00
Copy of all Proofs 250.00
Upgrade to intimate cake $95.00
Mixed Beverages (coke, diet coke,e ct.) at cake cutting 75.00
Welcome Dinner the night before at Ohanas for 22 700.00
4 Nights at the Polynesian 2800.00

Total $7,295.00

We are trying to find another 800.00 to get ::MinnieMo & ::MickeyMo at the cake cutting!

Oh that sounds great! Do they give deals on MK view rooms at the Poly?

If you are trying to cut back on costs why dont you just spend one night in the honeymoon suite? Thats what we are doing, you could spend the rest in the standard room; if you could call them that!

Our Wedding (Which wasn't a disney wedding :guilty: ) Cost about $12,000. We split it equally with my mom 1/3 each between me, my DH and her.

That included a 5 hour reception with open bar for 120 ppl incl: hor d' urves (both on the buffett and catered by the staff), a 4 choice open buffett with 2 sides, pasta station, salads etc..., The Wedding Cake and a dessert table, all the linens and placecards and they even tossed in the cases of Guinness that were not on the bar menu for free! My DH was very happy

It also included all my invitations and programs (which we made ourselves), My Dress and accessories, the decorations for my car (which was brand new so it served as my limo :thumbsup2 ) The DJ (who everyone loved, I found him at a bridal show and did spend more then I budgeted but it was worth it and in the end my MIL paid the balance at the reception anyway as part of our gift), The Wedding officiant and customized ceremony, the rings, flower girl basket, ringbearer pillow, favors (which were a donation to the breast cancer foundation) and gifts for my bridal party.

The photography was a gift from my DH's step mom, who actually served as the photographer (she does freelance work) they also made us two huge albums with all the pics and they are gorgoeus. The rehersal was a gft from my mother in law My FIL payed for the tuxes for the groomsman and DH's was free.

$12,000 even for everyhting we were resposible for paying for was really cheap for a wedding in Philadelphia even on a friday night (which is substantially less expensive then a saturday) None the less, I really wanted to get married at Disney but I also wanted my family there and knew they couldn't have swung the expense. DH and I are planning a vow renewal in 4 more years for our 5th anniversary with just our DD. I was hoping to have it at the wedding pavillion.

I think anything under 10,000 for a wedding is really cheap but then again it all depends on what part of the country you are from. Good luck planning :sunny:

My own wedding was a non-Disney wedding (we honeymooned there) and I did it on a strict $8,000 budget. 100 people never would've guessed I had a tight budget. It helps that I got my dress at a $99 dress sale no alterations necessary. Overall, a very classy wedding at a golf club with a $1,000,000 view!

Normal wedding in my area falls between $12,000-$18,000. I am a bridal cunsultant specializing in budget weddings so I can speak from experience when I say it is entirely possible to do an elegant wedding for way less.

If money wasn't a concern would I do a Disney wedding? Probably just for the sake of having them coordinate the whole affair. You're esentially getting a "free" bridal consultant.

Good luck on the wedding!
