I was going to book today, but our T.A. told us the flight prices were really really high. It was $750 a person. She said we should hold off a bit and watch to see if they come down. She said she has seen them for $650 a person. That could save us $400!!

I am scared to wait!! What if they sell out on the times/dates we want?

Can anyone tell me about how much they paid....so I know how much difference we could possibly save?

And what time of year was that?

Thanks so much! :)

We are flying Edmonton to Orlando on May 16 and returning May 24th. We originally went to a CAA travel agent and they quoted a very high price. After doing some of my own research I found a flight on expedia for $1123 for two people, approximately $560 each taxes included. I recommend doing some of your own research because we never get a cheaper flight with a travel agent. Our flight is on United and leaves at 6am and gets into Orlando at 3pm which is so sweet!

:cheer2: cannot wait!!

We just paid $660/person round trip from Regina, which is usually more expensive than flying from Calagary. We found NWA to be the cheapest, and they had the best flight schedules from Regina.

What dates are you looking for? Perhaps I could give you a hand with finding airfare if you'd like.

Oooh, those are way better prices then I found!!
I can find a bit cheaper, on the net, but they are bad flight times (leaving at 1am, getting there 14 hours later etc...)

We are wanting to go Aug 23-Sept 2. So if anyone finds anything great for that time frame, let me know!!!!

We can also fly out of Calgary or Edmonton, though prefer Edmonton.

Also want only 1 stop, not two.
Also want to leave in the morning from here, but leave in the afternoon from Orlando.

hmmmmmm.....maybe that is why they are expensive, because I am fussy!!

Any help/advice/suggestions greatly appreciated!!
:)

I was just checking online with your dates, and for some reason, with you returning the first week in September, the prices are a lot higher. I'm not quite sure why, must already be quite a few people booked that weekend. That's Labour Day Weekend as well, so that's probably why the flights are so expensive that week. Even a week earlier is hundreds cheaper per ticket!

Im going from Calgary May8th and coming home on the 23rd. My flight was $695 (seat sale) with westjet. :woohoo:

Its a midnght flight with a 3 hour layover in toronto. :hourglass

I just paid (3 weeks ago) for a flight leaving April 22 and returning the 29 from Edmonton $600 (incl. all taxes). I could have gotten a flight for $525 (incl all taxes) but decided to go with a better flight and less layover. I would definately keep looking....

Two years ago I went on the exact same dates as you, and purchased my airline tickets in June. They were $475 each. I would wait....More airlines may announce flights for that time later on.....Keep checking.

Flights are higher because of the long weekend.....If you are coming home on the Saturday of the long weekend, you will get dinged....

From the fairs that I've watched the price seems to drop about 3 months out. I would hold off and book later. I saved my brother over $500 from three tickets as they had booked with West Jet then one night I seen that West Jet had lowered it's price he as able to get the cheaper rate minus $30 service fee per ticket and the saving was given to him as a credit to be used in one year.

We just went over spring break (last week of March).

I paid 346.98 CAD on Delta from Edmonton to Orlando. On the way back we returned with Air Canada via Toronto and paid 427.85. Total cost 774.83. This might not have been the cheapest price, but the flight times worked out better for us.

I am getting stressed!! I think I better just book them to be sure I get the flight times I want.
With gas prices going way up -again!- then I can't see flight prices coming down any, but possibly going up.

Thanks for all your input!

Today I shall book!! :cool1:

I did it!! I booked!!!

YAY!!!! :cool1:

Not thrilled with the prices, but hey, I am going to DISNEYWORLD!!!!

I liked the flight times, so thought I better get on it before they fill up.

I am so excited!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
