How Much Did I Pay For This Self Inflicted Fun? A Wigdout trip report.

Keely, Keely, Keely :sad2:  I am just so happy that Bayler decided to stay  At least you had a good excuse for some adult beverages :thumbsup2
Oh my gosh Harper is just the cutest with her face paint! What a well dressed and happy little girl...just love those purple uggs....let's see I have raspberry, red, peach, and brown so I suppose I may like them too :rotfl2:
Holy guacamole your trip is so close  and :yay: for a no drama zone trip!!

Tracy

Another thought on the Canadian Santa....last I heard I wasn't waiting up with cookies for a lumberjack! ;) He does look like he maybe had too much Labatt's!

I love Harper's Christmas bow! What a cute little princess! It's too bad about the funk the other 2 kids were in! The Merry Mixer sounds fun! I wish I had DVC....maybe someday when I grow up! ;) I love Candlelight Processional. It's just so beautiful and inspirational! It really must be amazing to see on Christmas Eve!:thumbsup2
Thanks on the Christmas bow, I found a person here in town that makes some really cute bows! I hope we can do the Merry Mixer next year.:goodvibes
NO_DRAMA_by_benecane.jpg
Nice sign! I know I can count on you to be tolerant of others especially with the large crowds.:rotfl2:
I'd never be allowed to take a friend then. :sad2: :rotfl:
Sorry about the Keeley drama. What is it with some people and their need to always be the one in control and center of attention? I'm glad the day got better for you as it went on.
That Harper is soooo dang cute!
I haven't figured out what Keeley had in mind with her behavior. It perplexes me....
Thanks, we think Harper is a cutie too!
I hope Baylor decides to try some of the faster rides at least one at a time each trip....

It's a fine line with a child...when it is quitting and when it standing up for yourself....he's lucky to have you and Marc willing to step in and help him out with that, take some of it off his shoulders.
Baylor has decided that he doesn't want to play in the tournament while Marc and I are gone to Disney so I'm relieved about that. State testing will take him out of practice before the last tournament so he won't be allowed any play time in that either...
So it won't be long until he's finished!

I bet he did, he was put in a horrible spot, in between big sister whom he likely looks up to and upsetting his parents. Talk about a no-win mess and then feeling like you've made it worse. Poor guy! One thing for Keely to be selfish about herself but to put Baylor in that spot :confused3

A friend might motivate him to go on those rides...

Have faith. Taylor didn't start going on them until he was 15, Kendall at 12 but I think a lot of it with Kendall was she wasn't going to chicken out if the E's were going on them, definitely a pride issue. To a point. Neither of them will try ToT though...we will see if Eric can guilt them onto it in August.
I was very irritated with Keeley for dragging Baylor into the mess of her mood. He was quite upset...
I keep asking Baylor to add a ride each trip.
We'll see.
He did try EE last spring and hated it.
I keep hoping he will ride TOT, I do think he will like it.

Good luck getting your guys to go!

Whooo Boy!!! Where to start?

Another "Oh Keeley" is warranted. PPPFFFT to her. Naughty to be mean to her mama on Christmas Eve.

Yay to your wonderful hubby - that drink looked fabulous. You were both so cute in your shirts!

Harper is just a doll!!! No two ways about it. Cute face paint!

Baylor - I hope things work out for him with basketball. How sad to be put in that situation with a stinker for a coach!

No, I'm afraid I won't get much time home during our spring break. I always have Fridays off, but have to take DH for a medical test that day! They will probably spend a night at Grandma and Papa's house though.

Biergarten sounds fun. I'm glad you said even if you don't like German food you'd like it. I'm not a big fan of most German foods (except bratwurst) so I have been apprehensive. The show looks cute though!

You and Marc TOTALLY deserve a kidless vacation!! I hope you have a great time with good weather too!!
I really never thought I liked German food, that warm potato salad was wonderful!
I'm sorry you are getting some time off for Spring Break, that would have been nice to just relax at home!
Christmas Eve had a stressful start but didn't turn out too bad by afternoon...
I'm getting so excited for our trip! Day by day I'm watching the forecast....

I am so sorry you were upset at Disney on Christmas Eve
I'm glad Keeley apologized. But what was she thinking???

Harper is just too cute!

The Candelight Processional seems amazing. How far out did you have to book it?
I have no idea what Keeley is thinking when she acts that way. I just know that I'm not the only one that she does that stuff to.
She can be so nice at times.....
Harper is a cutie pie, thanks!
We booked the CP as soon as we were able to book our ADRs I guess it was 90 days at that point. You book it and the restaurant.

I will not say anything bad about Keeley....she's your daughter and I'm sure you've done a great job raising your children...:thumbsup2

Kids all have their moments. I'm sure I still drive my parents crazy sometimes....
You are right Jordan, she is my daughter and I did my best raising her. I love her. She was such a sweet little girl and can be very sweet now. When she became a teen our relationship got kind of "different" . I feel like I've been there for her. Maybe too much....
Anyway when she was good she was very, very good, when she was bad she was.....

OMG dear!!!!!! The Keeley drama AMAZED me!!!! I am so sorry for you.....on Christmas Eve too!?!?!?!?! Sending you a belated hug for it!!!!

What a great way to spend Christmas Eve though---fancy drinks, good food, and the CP!!!!! In 2007, we saw it one night with Neil Patrick Harris---it was so unbelievable!!! One of the most amazing shows we have ever seen!!!

Two funny sidenotes----1. Megan would LOVE those purple Uggs!!!! I am going to have to find her some!!! Those are TOO cute!!!! 2. Megan and Harper have the SAME red Tinkerbell shirt---the light up one with the Wintry Magic on it!!!! Such a small world!!!!

Awwwww, thanks for the hug! It was a tough moment to get through but the Grey Goose cheered me right up!:thumbsup2
I would so love to see Neil Patrick Harris narrate the CP! I think he is wonderful!
I'll bet Megan would love those purple Uggs, I wonder if they make them in her size? You should check on ebay!:goodvibes
I think that so cool that the girls have the same Christmas shirt! Great minds!

World Showcase and Candlelight Processional on Christmas Eve! :worship: Sounds dreamy! :cloud9:

The face painting is too cute! She did very well to sit there and have that done at such a young age.

I agree with you on Biergarten.......... super yummy!

Loved your shirts! Very cute and Christmasy!:santa:
Thanks on the shirts, I think the whole combination of Biergarten, WS. CP just had a Christmasy feel to it!
I just texted Megan and she said that Harper was awake for her face painting... Her dad was holding her.
I thought she might have been napping!

When My DH and I went to the Candle Light Processional James Almos was the narrator, I love his voices. I think he does a prefect job.

Harper's face painting is adorable.
I agree, I think he did a great job too! He was very emotional during his performance!
I loved Harper's face paint too!

I agree...to do CP ON Xmas Eve...extra special:thumbsup2
If you are there on Christmas Eve, what better way to spend it?
Sorry...it seems like we can get our feelings hurt more easily when we're tired, doesn't it? If you remember from my NYE TR, I told the story about how Elizabeth burst into tears during evening magic hours, because she had forgotten her room key. She proceeded to tell me how it was MY fault....blah, blah, blah. I guess it's just part of the joy of raising hormonal daughters! Of course we made up, just like I know you and Keeley did!

Eventually.....

By the looks of Santa's eyes, I think he'd had a few of what you and Marc had in the previous pics!
He does look toasted!:lmao:

This is too sweet! :goodvibes
I was so surprised to see her all painted up!

I love Harper's face paint.
Me too!
Keely, Keely, Keely :sad2:  I am just so happy that Bayler decided to stay  At least you had a good excuse for some adult beverages :thumbsup2

Tracy
He had no choice but to stay, the flight was sold out, plus we weren't going to be bullied into sending him back....
Sounds like you love your Uggs Tracy! I don't have all those colors but I have a few styles.....
Packing for our trip starts this weekend!

Another thought on the Canadian Santa....last I heard I wasn't waiting up with cookies for a lumberjack! ;) He does look like he maybe had too much Labatt's!
Oh so it that what they drink up your way?;)

Just wanted to note on your comments from above........

Neil Patrick Harris was SOOOOOOOOO good....he got so into it that he started to stand back a little and sing along with the choir. His energy was electric!

Megan loves that Tink shirt so much that she wanted to wear it one of the days that she was sick last week because she thought it would make her feel better!!! :)

As it turns out I live in London, ON! Hometown of John Labatt! Also of the major Labatt's brewery and the arena named after said fellow! But it certainly isn't what I drink! Beer =

I'll bet wearing that shirt did make Megan feel better! I know wearing my favorite comfy outfit does just that for me when I'm under the weather. It never hurts to have some extra pixie dust when your not feeling well....

I'm not a beer drinker either, it that a really strong beer?

I forgot to mention too that I am so glad that you kept your Biergarten ADR. :goodvibes I know you were going back and forth on it and that it is something a lot of people shy away from.....but isn't it gooooood??!! I love that warm potato salad too, the salmon, pretzel rolls, etc. The entertainment is fun too and I think I might have a crush on one of them....Mike might be his name :confused3

I am glad we kept it! Marc isn't crazy about it and isn't in any hurry to go back but I think it's yummy

I had no clue that you had your eye on a certain someone in the band!
:goodvibes

Just wanted to give you an update on Hannah's reading score. I called her teacher on Monday and expressed my concern about the big drop. She said that she didn't think much of it because 1) the selection may have been harder than what she's used to reading and 2) there could have been distractions. She said Hannah is on grade level for her reading so she's not worried. Progress Reports were also sent home Monday and she had a 25/26 for reading.

Also some big news in our house: Last April my position was eliminated and I've been job hunting. A friend of mine who works in the same profession was leaving her job and told me about it. I had an inteview yesterday and was offered the position, which I accepted. I start tomorrow. I'm wishing I'd told him I'd start Monday! Now to start scheming on convincing Clay on a Thanksgiving trip to WDW!

I just wanted to thank you for starting me on a new obsession - Vera Bradley:cool1:! I just ordered a hipster, backpack and matching wallet in Raspberry Fizz off of their website. That pattern is also 25% off and all of it was on sale already - so all together it cost $97 - is that a good price? :confused3 Anyway - I am ready for my July trip in high fashion now! I guess I will have to retire my belly bag :woohoo: thank god!

The entertainment is fun too and I think I might have a crush on one of them....Mike might be his name :confused3

I hadn't thought of looking at the musicians. Maybe my knight in shining armor is really in an Alpine hat and lederhosen! I'm going to look more closely next time we eat there. ::yes::

Of course, I've got this whole thing going with Naveen right now... :rolleyes1

Congratulations on your job, Jill! I hope it works out wonderfully for you. I'm going to be working on my crew for a Thanksgiving trip, too. We really liked our other Thanksgiving trip. :goodvibes

wigd, this time next week, you'll almost be at the starting gate of your trip! :cool1: Our kids are out starting Friday, but teachers have to come. We are out the whole next week, though. I think we are going to start our Memphis excursion Friday night, according to Jill. If she drives past Memphis and ends up in Orlando, I'll give you a call. :thumbsup2

Hmmmmm, I guess it's a good thing that she isn't worried. Did you ask her when Hannah will be taking the SRI again? Our kids take it in May, a few weeks before school is out.

How about doing a Christmas trip instead?

Welcome to the VB sisterhood! Isn't the Raspberry Fizz cheerful? I just love that print!:lovestruc
Bye bye bellybag!
On the price? I think you did really well for all that!:thumbsup2

I've heard of the "Off Kilter" groupies, but not the groupies for the guys in the German band......;) You girls might be onto something.....

Of course, I've got this whole thing going with Naveen right now... :rolleyes1
Tianna might have something else to say about that!

This time next week I'll be worrying about getting laundry all finished up....
We have a half day with kids on Friday then half day to work. I'll be out that door and taking the dogs to the kennel as fast as we can go....
Then the crazy packing will begin in earnest....

IF I were to get a call from you saying that you had driven on past Memphis AND were heading to Orlando.....
I'd

No, I didn't even think to ask her about that! DOH It's Family Night (aka PTSO Meeting and Book Fair!) on Monday night and I'm sure I'll see her then and will ask her. Also get to hear about transitioning to 3rd grade and the joys of EOGs.

Thanks! I'm very relieved! I would love to do a Christmas trip but we don't have Alison for Christmas this year. It's our year to have her for Thanksgiving. The only problem I can see is the girls would have to miss 2 days of school and I can see Alison's Mom giving us a hassle about it.

What restaurants are available with the CP?

Your trip is so close! Grey Goose slushies here you come!

It's possible that they don't even retest, maybe it's better that you let the matter rest for now and bring it back up around May 1st. I'm sure her teacher will have a full agenda Monday night....
You know her better than I do.
Do what you feel comfortable doing!

A group of us are working on a Christmas 2011 trip, maybe that will work for you all!

What restaurants are available with the CP?

Your trip is so close! Grey Goose slushies here you come!
The restaurants are categorized by price...
Biergarten, Nine Dragons, San Angel, Le Cellier, Garden Grill, Rose & Crown, Marrakesh, Chefs de France, Teppan Edo, Tutto Itallia, Coral Reef.

I'm starting to sound like a slushie, lushie!
:rotfl2:

I'm not so sure these are the guys she had in mind....

I started thinking about what came after the Candlelight Processional and realized that we just slowly made our way out of the park and headed back to the resort to start packing....
It had been an emotional day and a rather tiring one at that.
I snapped some photos as we made our way through World Showcase...

I just love the Norway Christmas windows!

Inside the shop in Norway! I'm sure we were looking for the troll!

Sorry, no Troll pictures....
I took a deep breath, held it and made my way through the perfume room.
Honestly that room gags me.
Gives me a headache.
Never wear the stuff.
No perfume ever.

Over to Mexico we went and rode this.

DSCN0415.jpg

This was fun!
Harper loved it almost as much as IASW! It just didn't have quite as many dolls to look at
.:goodvibes

We walked towards the front of the park, can you spot Harper and her Mimi?

DSCN0419.jpg

We went this way and that....

DSCN0420.jpg

Deciding to look in this window.

DSCN0421.jpg

Wouldn't you want to look too?

DSCN0424.jpg

On to Space Ship Earth we went for our voyage through time....

DSCN0426.jpg

Oh, then to Sunshine Seasons for supper...

DSCN0428.jpg

We had a great meal here, so much food. I don't think anyone was able to have a happy plate but we left very full!
At this point we were ready to head to the bus....
Baylor was tired!

DSCN0430.jpg

When we got back we all started packing and Harper got ready for bed and played with her Disney toys....

376.jpg

Do you want to play too?

377.jpg

Up next, Christmas Day!
Bye Bye big kids.....
