How much construction is there in Disney Springs these days?

I'm wondering if it's worth checking out Disney Springs this trip (just over a week away). If there's a lot of walls still up, I'm happy to push it off until next trip, in the spring.

It's lightened up a lot, but there is still plenty. The major stuff is near the Planet Hollywood now as that is being changed along with the area. I think the expanded World of Disney store is now open, so most construction around that area should be done.

Crowds can still be bad at night, but daytime isn't too bad. I really like what they've done with the place. Go check out The Hangar, which is a very cool place!

It's still bad, but it's getting a bit better. Nighttime is the worst because it gets jammed up between tourists, locals, more tourists, large groups and lots of construction. I'm still not a fan of the hideous car garage, and it's really the only available parking area. So, if you want to go there, go during the day, on a day when most people would be at the park. Also, take a bus. Parking pretty much sucks.

Is there no longer parking in the parking lot? We were last there in September of 2014 and though the parking was more limited than in the past, we had no problems finding a parking spot. We go right when it opens though in the morning. We're planning to go on what I'd imagine is a rather busy day this year - Saturday after Thanksgiving - , but again, right when they open. (We can't take a bus as we aren't staying on Disney property).

Just back and agree it's better but still lots. Starting to get a feel for how its' going to look. Don't love that you can't park near the marketplace now but I LOVE the technology in the new lot. I knew about that signs that showed how many spaces on each level but didnt' realize when you get into the garage it points you to exactly where the empty spots are. So even at night when there may have only been a few dozen spots open in the whole garage, I found where one was immediately. When the new garage opens near the marketplace it's really going to be great. And to PP, no lot parking near marketplace but some lot parking on West Side. But frankly I think as long as you're West Side the garage is so much easier.

we were just there last week and construction isn't too bad. a lot of new stores to check out. we had a good time!

Last week the Marketplace area was enjoyable, but I can't say I loved the walk through the walled-off sections from the Lego store onward. I thing think the whole area is going to be absolutely awesome when it is completed. Right now, I would give it a pass if I was going to be there a few months later. We had hoped to spend more time and maybe do 2 or 3 visits in our 11 days in town, but shuffling along through the walled-off construction corridors didn't have much charm for us.

I understand and appreciate the desire to keep guests safe, as well as to preserve us from the sight of raw construction sights, and Disney does a good job at that. I really hope to be back to visit DS when the work is done.

The descriptions I heard, mainly from locals didn't match my experience in any way. In sept using disney transportation we found it a great time, lots of new places to check out and really enjoyed our time there. Sure there's construction but many are making it sound like your in a construction site trying to get to a food truck in the middle, it's not like that.

Yes, but you used Disney transport. Parking at WS, then marching to marketplace through tons of tourists then back again (uphill, both ways ;) ) in bottlenecks of construction is rather upsetting. Try going off peak.

I was there a few weeks ago on a Sunday night. We parked in the Orange Parking Garage which was easy to enter and easy to exit. However, Disney Springs was super crowded! The walkway between Fulton's and Planet Hollywood was elbow to elbow, would be nice to see that walkway widened. Didn't really notice a lot of walls up, but perhaps I was too busy trying to get from point a to point b. :(
