How much are you spending?

Looks like we're the minority! We have 3 table service meals planned that we won't have credits for. As far as breakfast, if we don't have a character breakfast that day, we'll eat in the food court at Pop; some days DH and I will split and adult breakfast and the boys will split a kids' breakfast. Some days, DH will want waffles, so I'll have my own meal. When we run out of c/s credits, we'll pay out of pocket for breakfast/other cs as needed.

I have budgeted an extra $300 for food over the dining plan. We're a family of 4, me, dh, ds6 and ds3.

I think our plan for December is one meal outside of our DDP and then on average probably $10-20 a day above our credits.

:thumbsup2

Dito like the rest we eat in our room at the resort with bagels, little cereals, cereal bars etc.. We use CS for lunch and TS for dinner. If we do use the TS for breakfast it is when we go to CM for brunch and that night we use CS for dinner. We spend maybe 10-15 a day, if that. The kids snacks (candy) was all used with SC at the end of our trip. They are great when the kids explore the stores after the park closes and your waiting for the bus lines to shorten.

We also have more TS meals than credits, thanks to planning 3 signature meals over our 11 night stay. I'm planning to pay for CRT OOP since it is prepaid anyway, rather than hassling with having the card they charge at booking credited back and using DDP credits, and we're paying OOP for our adult night out at ESPN Club (we don't usually order entrees in places like that - we'll split a couple appetizers). We're also planning a dessert only stop at Beaches & Cream.

I only have a rough plan for CS, but between the CS and the snacks, I doubt we'll have to buy anything out of pocket aside from those things we've planned for. We don't usually eat a full breakfast. DH has coffee, I have tea, and the kids have a light snack, so I'm planning on using snack credits to have some fruit or pastry in the room for the kids to share before we head out for the day. And the portions at many of the CS restaurants are more than we need for lunch, so we'll do quite a bit of sharing. My rough plan has us with 4 CS credits leftover after planning out our days, but those will probably get used for late night snacks. On our last trip, we used credits for things like fruit & cheese trays and pretzels/crackers to have in the room as munchies, and I'm sure we'll do more of that now that the snack credits are more flexible than they were on our last trip.

I'm budgeting $500 for out of pocket food expenses, excluding CRT, and that will also cover the fact that I like a glass of wine with dinner, especially at the Epcot WS restaurants.

I am planning on probably just spending extras on drinks (Sodas and water), we do have one extra TS meal planned on Sept 30th for breakfast at CP its my sons birthday and we fly out at 2:00.

We don't spend any other money in the parks. There's more than enough food on the plan and we don't drink alcohol. (useless calories, no desire for a hangover and they're just too darn expensive)

We order a case of water from Staples for $5 so that takes care of our extra fluid needs.

(we also aren't souvenir people, so we don't really take any money for that either)

Will Staples deliver the water?

Last I knew, if you have the Stapel Rewards membership (free) they delivered the water free. Otherwise they deliver it for a small fee.

I brought granola bars and oatmeal to go bars to eat in the mornings. A couple days toward the end of our trip, I stopped to get 2 of the HUGE pastries from Pepper Market for us to share since we had lots and lots of snack credits left.

We paid NOTHING OOP for any food. I did order 2 cases of water, a 12 pack of Killians, and a 12 pack of Mike's Hard Lemonade from gardengrocer.com. It cost me $50 for that, but saved us a ton since we didn't use any snack credits for bottled water, and my DH (who doesn't think he's on vacation unless he can drink beer) was thrilled with having a couple beers when we got back from the park that didn't cost us $6.00 a bottle. :)

When we left, we still had some CS and snack credits left that we used right before getting on the bus back to the airport.

Wow, last year we literally spent nothing extra! We had a car and bought water at Wal-Mart but this year we will probably have it delivered so maybe about $20. We ended up with about 5 CS and 7 Snacks at the end and spent them at Earl of Sandwich and Goofy's. The CS breakfasts and lunches are so large we share and always had enough.

We are probably arriving two days before free dining starts so we'll have to fend for ourselves eating at the POFQ food court and downtown disney.

we'll probably spend around $20 a day extra (in addition to being on the DDP in october) since there are so many food booths to graze at the F&W!

(planning on sampling "something" from each booth!) :yay:

We bought the refillable mugs for drinks and we spent a total of about $50 extra for a week for the two of us. Mostly a bagel etc. for breakfast, CS for lunch and TS for dinner. We were never hungry!!

We're budgeting an extra $300-$350 to bring along. We don't drink, so we won't have to pay for alcoholic beverages. But we're a family of four with two little boys who can both eat quite a bit - thank goodness they're so active!! And we'll be there for 16 nights...we figure eating bagels and nutrigrain bars in our room at Pop will probably only be doable for about a week...we'll need something new after that.

I'm not planning on much over. We don't drink alcohol so that's no worry. Because we got CRT for dinner and that uses two credits we'll pay OOP for a character breakfast (least expensive) and probably have to do one counter service OOP the day we leave. Otherwise..we're just gonna go with it.

Hey...does anyone know if the candy/goodies place in Frontierland (close to Peco's Bills) accepts the snack credit?? I LOVE the caramel apples there...if not then gotta budget for those...ha!
