So I was thinking about taking the plunge and getting nice linens but am affraid of the cost. What linens are you getting and how much is it? How many tables and chairs? Pics?

we spent $0 on linens. We just felt other things were more important to us. I have seen some very lovely upgraded linens from Disney though.

Here's a pic of our tables with the standard linens:

I haven't had my wedding yet, so no pics. But we are having upgraded linens. We're having rose floor length linens which are $15 with ivory pixie dust overlays, over them which are $37.50.

We did a blue cotton overlay for $15 per table and chair covers with bows for $6.50. We didn't have that big a guest list that it made a huge dent in our budget (I think it was around $500)

I really did not want to pay extra for linens but we were doing a red and white wedding and I really wanted the pop of color.

Here is a photo of our table - we did red napkins ($1,00 each) and white chair covers with red bows ($6.50 each - if I remember correctly). We had 50 guests.

I also wanted a splash of color on our cake table so we went with red overlays and our sweetheart table also ($15.00 each).

Everything turned out beautiful!!! I love the colors!!!

We also spent $37.50 for the higher end overlays. I hated spending that much money on the overlays, but we had the reception at Narcoossee's and I didn't want it to look like a restaurant. I wanted it to look like a wedding, and these overlays gave the tables some texture and went with our "Turn-of-the-century" theme.

In the end, they looked great, and I'm really glad I had them. We also paid for ribbon to be tied on the backs of the chairs, but frankly, that was a waste. I would have liked chair covers, but they don't fit the chairs at Narcoossee's, so we went with the bows in an attempt to dress it up a bit. It didn't do much.

We decided on chocolate brown satin overlays for the tables ($22 each) and peacock blue crushed satin napkins ($2.50 each). We had chivari chairs, so the cushions where included in the rental cost. The final result looked like this (This is the best photo I have so far...I'm in the process of collecting photos from all my guests):

I love the peacock feather tucked into the napkin fold to tie all the colors in. Gorgeous!

I think our overlays were around $40, the napkins $2 each and the chivaris around $15 each/ i will have to double check the price of the chivari.

We were told $11.50 I think for the chiavari chairs, but with a delivery fee of around $200! We decided to just go for $8.50 chair covers and bows in the end, I didn't think the delivery fee was worth it for 19 chairs!
