of course baggage is extra, wanted SW but couldn't get non stop. This is our first time flying as a family. I didn't want to mess with a lay over or changing planes. And we were able to do advance seat assignments with AirTran, it's important for us all to sit together.

Now this is more what I expect from MSP. Actually that's cheaper than what I have seen in the last couple of years. I paid over in October 2012!
Those who get $200 on SW, non stop no less, that is amazing! I am flying on points this October, but the cheapest on SW is $337 and there are no non stop flights at all.

We fly Houston to MCO, round-trip between $300-325 each person on Southwest. We don't do EBCI because we pre-board due to disability. For my mom it's usually cheaper to fly from San Diego to MCO and it makes no sense to me, but hers are usually around $250 round-trip, plus $25 EBCI. We tend to go the week after Thanksgiving once flights go back down.

Flying non-stop RT from Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Tampa International Airport on Allegiant Air on May 1, 2014 to May 8, 2014.

$58 flight there + $77 flight back = $135 pp plus $40.00 for luggage RT. Total of $175 pp or $350 for the both of us to fly.

We may have to drive an hour or so from Tampa to Orlando but alot cheaper than flying into Orlando or Sanford. Plus we might stop in Clearwater to see the Gulf of Mexico and take in the casino in Tampa after we arrive and before we head back home.

$1,330 for 4 going from PIT to MCO in early May on Southwest.

That's broken down to $157 one way, per person. I look at that as $60 for the "free" baggage and $97 fares. Plus $25 each for EBCI since we won't be able to check in at T-24 on our own.

Originally I was booked with SW nonstop for $186 to Orlando from Nashville and around $168 back home. Sep 22-30. So it was around $354 total. I don't remember exactly because I paid with points. However I noticed that the fares had dropped today. So I re-booked at $161 down and $129 back and got a bit over 4500 points back. Currently $290 round trip.

So true. I can fly cheaper San Diego to MCO than my friend flies from Arizona to MCO. Finding decent airfare for her to fly from Tucson is always a nightmare.
