how much are points?

Hi,
New at this and was wondering how much does each point cost? Is it different depending on who you buy them from? I know I need 96 so how much would I owe? Thanks in advance, Graciepooh

Do you want to rent 96 points? That would be a one time use, and there's information on the DVC Rent forum. Prices per point average around $10. You would be renting from someone who owns the DVC points.

If you wanted to buy 96 points, that would mean buying a DVC resale, and it's not likely you'd find a 96 point contract.

Are you looking to buy direct from DVC or a resale?

A purchase direct from DVC is a minimum of 150 points, but you can buy resales for any amount.

check out Disney Vacation Club for info on purchasing direct.

Or you can use the many resale sites and the links at the top of this page for resale referals.

I think you are talking about making a one-time reservation? Not actually "buying" points and becoming a DVC member? If it's a rental, you are correct. It is a private transaction and the price depends on what you and the person renting to you agree on. I would not expect to pay less than $10 per point.
