We're traveling Dec 18-31st.
We cant afford a night at HRH hotel, so we were thinking of getting FOTL passes? Any idea how much they'd be? Can I get a day 2 or 3 day one or are they single day only?

thank you

From the Universal Site:
http://www.universalorlando.com/tic_express.php

There are 1 Park and 2 Park options, but both are Valid for one (1) entry per participating attraction for 1 day.

2 Park: $55.99 or 40.99 or 25.99 depending on the day
1 park: $50.99 or 30.99 depending on the day

If you have a family of 4, the price of the express passes plus whatever you were going to pay for a hotel may let you afford a Universal Hotel. And remember you get FOTL priviliges for the day you check in and the day you check out, so you get 2 days of FOTL for one night in the hotel.

Thanks folks:rolleyes: - I guess we'll be standing in line a lot then:rolleyes:

Our hotel is already booked as part of the package so we cant change it and its already paid for:sad2:

Has anyone ever gone 18-23rd Dec withour FOTL passes? - would I be wasting my time?:confused3
Maybe I'll just stick to Disney.

I went in 2006 for MLB weekend and the place was PACKED. The first day we dragged through the lines and ended up getting the FOTL pass for Sunday. What a HUGE difference it made! If you are only there for a short time I think it's totally worth it. I have 7 day passes for my trip in April/May and I won't bother with them this time (even though they rock). Just my 2 :goodvibes

Karen Mouse, what bopper is saying even though your hotel is booked , might be cheaper to book into the hotel for 1 night and get 2 days FOTL, you do not have to stay there , so work out your prices and decide what is best. Also if you have a room booked your FOTL passes allows multiple times on the rides as much as you want ,whereas the bought express only allows once per ride.

Wow! - I didnt know that! - so the room fotl pass is as many times as you want, but the bought one is once a ride only:eek: ..

Ok....How do I get the cheapest rate for a Univ hotel? - their website is quoting $359:scared1:

Timmy Boy - what I meant was that at least Disney has the free fast pass option.

Dec 18-23 is always less busy than Dec 26-31. Dec 26-31 = 60+ min lines.

If you decide to go and not stay onsite, make sure you get to the parks before they open ( at least half an hour). This makes a HUGE difference at Universal. Ride all the big rides first and then leisurely do the others.

Can I find opening times on their website yet for xmas time?

We will be going 20-24 April staying off site. We plan on buying front of the line passes. Is it true that you can only go on each ride once?

How do they keep track that you went on each ride only once?

They either scan it or mark it with a marker...that's what they do at HHN...I think it's the same thing.

::yes::

That is what they do - Last trip I saw a younger girl (20ish) trying to wipe off the permanent maker that the TM at The High In The Sky Ride used to mark her express pass. :sad2:
