If I Don't Have A Touring Plan For The Parks?
We Are Going To The World, Nov 3 - Nov 17th, With Dd Turning 5 On 11/7 And Dd3
I Feel Like We Will Have Plenty Of Time To Spare.

Any Advice Will Be Welcomed!
Thanks

I think you have plenty of time to figure out tourin plans! Mostly you just need to know what rides and attractions are "must see" for your family. Then you need to know which ones have the longest lines. Go to those first thing in the morning. Not too complicated. I like the Unofficial Guide.

I don't think you'll be miserable at all. Besides, with kids still pretty young, you may plan and plan and be thrown off of your plans for some reason and then be disappointed. I agree w/ PP, just figure out what you absolutely have to do this trip and go from there. I am not a theme park commando, because that just isn't my personality type. Some people are and have a ball with it. I would also add to remember to make your dining reservations around the 180 day mark.

The last 2 times I went, I didn't have any "plan". It was SO MUCH FUN! I was really new to Disney then and wanted to see and do it ALL. So I didnt' have "Must Do's". It was wonderful to wander around, see something really neat, and turn to your companions and say "oooh lets do this" or "oh lets eat here!" Now granted we only did one resturant that required reservations so if you're planning to do more than that your trip might be more structured for convienience/time's sake. Other than that, having "
no plan" as your plan can be the best way to go!!
Have a blast!!! :yay:

I agree that you can have an AMAZING time without a "touring plan."

We just returned from our first trip with DS3 and DD1. I spent a good deal of time reading these boards and perusing a WDW book or two that my friends loaned me. I made sure I was armed with all the info I needed and then we decided to "roll with it" from there. I knew which rides would get long lines fast so we tended to do those first thing or get fast passes. I had an idea of which lunch venues had good food so we had some to choose from. I made sure I knew the basics of each park. Then we let the kids lead a little bit. We had no idea which rides they would love, which shows they wouldn't, which characters were worth the waits, etc. Once we knew these things we "planned" around it. If time allowed, we staked out a spot for a parade. If we were in the right place at the right time, we got a good seat for a show. If not, so what? The most magical of our moments were the ones that were completely unplanned - and had we been hurrying to our next "to do item" we would have missed them entirely. Heck - one morning I rode the carousel in the Magic Kingdom four times in a row because my kids LOVED it - while my husband scouted out some coffee for us. You can't rush WDW. But certainly being informed is helpful.

Have a great time "planning" to the extent it suits your family. Everyone does WDW differently - and you will have an awesome time as long as do what's right for you. :-)

Thank you all very much. It really helps alot!
I don't think the plan is going to work for me, I will get myself all worked up trying to "follow it" Like you said I am going to let my kids lead the way!
