Wow... I feel a lot better about my garage now. It is somewhat cluttered, but not as bad as some I just read about. It is a two car garage that we added on about 4 years ago. We would have gone for larger, but our land slopes away on the far side of the garage and the cost to build into the slope prevented it. But we did make it deeper than the norm.
We fit our mini van and my DH's convertible, along with 5 bicycles, 2 scooters, a fisher-price ride on dumptruck, mini basketball hoop, skateboarding ramp, fishing poles, three large ladders, and a large three section shelving unit full of car care stuff, winter tires, bicycle pumps, oil and filters, sleeping bags and tents, inflatable rafts/boats, etc. Plus we have a rubbermaid sports "keeper" thingie that holds basketballs, footballs, baseball bats, skip-its, skateboards. Plus three large trash barrels and, according to season, either the lawn mower or the snow blower (the off-season one gets stored in the shed). OF course, this is not to mention the two mini-trampolines, assorted outdoor Christmas decor, sleds, hulahoops, folding chairs, golfclubs. But honestly, I would venture a guess that most people would say our garage is fairly well organized. Not pristine, mind you (I have an uncle whose garage floor you could EAT off of, he is so anal about keeping it clean!). ....................P
