My DS tonight told me that he wasn't going to go to Disney World! He was mad, because I tried to bribe him with 5 Disney dollars if he would go straight to sleep tonight, since I had a migraine. Well, I went back to his room and he was reading! I told him no dollars. I know he was upset because he left his monkey in the car, and Dad went to a meeting, but I have been trying to teach him to think before he speaks. HMMM, he could stay home with Dad, and I could go alone! It would pay DH back for all the months he's been gone over the years due to TDY's :rotfl:

I'm going to believe that you already know the answer to your "question". First off, if you child was quietly reading, what is the big deal? Second, if you did "bribe" him with the $5 in the first place, he probably knew that and didn't really believe he'd get to keep it anyway.
Why not apologize to your DS (how old is he??) that it was your migraine talking last night and declare a general amnesty.
As a family, you should all enjoy and want to go, whether that's to WDW or another vacation spot. I would never consider going alone...without my DH, DD, DS....what fun would that be??
Hopefully you are feeling better and things have worked out. :cool1:

I sympathize with you, I suffer from migraine's too. Kids have all learned to stay away until the medication kicks in!! Agree with dzneelve, apologize & declare a truce

Well you've never traveled with my DH. :rotfl2: He's a great guy but just not a great traveler. I "taught" him how to travel well before we had kids but now with the kids he's got a whole new set of worries. I'm working on him and I think I'm making progress-when were sitting in front of the Poly waiting for the limo to get us to go back to the airport on our last trip he actually said "this is kind of sad".

And yes I have traveled without him to Disney 6 times! He thought he had seen it all on his first trip and didn't see the need to go back.

What to say, okay, this post was made tongue in cheek. I am still going to take my son (7) to Disney, we leave on Sunday. In fact when he got up this a.m. he apologized to me, and told me he still wanted to go. He did lose the opportunity to earn that $5, but he might earn it this weekend before we leave. As to going on vacation without my hubby, he's military, will I hate to leave him home if his leave doesn't get approved---yes, will we still go---absolutely!
