How may Princess dresses do I take?

When I get everything done I'll post pics. Sewing is really very easy, and you get high quality costumes that aren't like every other little girl's.

We are bringing a Cinderella dress for sure and maybe a Minnie dress if I can find one reasonably priced. DD will be 2 :)

EMH,

I got my dd4.5 minnie dress on ebaby. It was new with tags and about 15 bucks + 5 bucks shipping. You can try and see if you get a deal.

dd loves her minnie!

We have two princess dinners planned. My dd is 3 1/2 and this is our first trip to WDW. She has a Aurora dress and a Cinderella dress. Do I just bring one and let her wear it to both or do I bring both and let her wear one to each dinner? I can't decide...

Then what about the shoes....what are all the little princess wearing?

How about none? I have 2 DDs ages 5 and 2.5. They love princesses, we went to the castle last year, going to Akershus this year, but we are not bringing dresses. They enjoyed meeting the princesses and taking pictures, but they would be SO uncomfortable in their dresses, and with all the other stuff to carry around, I'm not carrying around dresses once they change as well.

We are driving and we may end up taking ALL of ours. lol. I figure, why not. If we have room, my DD4 will have a ball.
Just be sure to take extra clothes in case they want to change and shoes if they insist on wearing the slippers (as my dd calls them).

According to my DD4 ... "All of them." :rotfl2:

About the shoes...dd4 was Tinkerbell for halloween two years ago and dressed up as Aurora for Akershus this year- both times the "official" princess shoes weren't very comfy. The first pair we bought at the Disney store, and dd wore them for a while then complained that her feet hurt. When we bought her outfit at BBB one size was too big and the next size down pinched her feet. We ended up not getting shoes and letting her wear sandals instead.

OK, are the dresses that you guys have at home for your girls to dress up with in nice shape? My DD wears her princess dresses EVERY day. Seriously! They are in TATTERS! She doesn't care at all and thinks that they make her look absolutely beautiful, but really, they're in BAD shape! We're planning on replenishing the supply at her birthday (in two weeks) and at Christmas, but still, by our trip in May, they'll be awful again, I'm sure! So, are your princesses wearing their raggedy old dresses, are their dresses just not in terrible shape, or are you buying new ones? Just curious . . . I think for our trip she'll just wear one dress that she gets when (if) we go to the BBB and tea with Aurora. . . but everything's up in the air at the moment, so I'm all ears!

You may want to buy her new ones and surprise her with them when you get there. That would be really neat for her. My dd's dress-up dresses are in reasonable shape. The ones I buy tend to be Gymboree and they really hold up! I also make them, and use high quality materials, so those last as well. We have a few that she got as gifts and they fell apart fast and didn't fit right at all. Maybe you could try sewing? For the most part it's very easy! And I like that I made the dresses myself, it feels more special to me.

I bought DD3 a Jasmine dress on disneyshopping.com. It arrived, she loved it. Figured we would take it. But then 1 week later received Disney Store catalog in mail with a purple Jasmine costume. DD HAD to have it. It put her off until today, the mall by me just opened a new Disney Store and guess what we bought? Hopefully Jasmine will recognize her admiration and play it up.

Well, I've picked up some extra dresses along the way. My DD was wearing her's all day everyday and the ones from those days are pretty worn. But then I'd find one at our schools "garage sale" or someone would pass one down to us that was loved :goodvibes a lot less than ours. (in better shape)
I've got a new to us cinderella dress and snow white set that I'm going to surprise DD with. Cinderella for MNSSHP, Not sure what for Norway.

We'll be going to WDW in January to celebrate DD's 5th birthday. I plan to pack 2-3 princess dresses, and we'll be attending 4 princess meals. Her Cinderella dress is trashed, so I got her a new one from mydressuptrunk.com. She'll wear her brand new Cinderella (which she will receive as a bday present from Tinker Bell that day) for lunch at CRT and dinner at 1900 Park Fare on her birthday. I also got her these amazing silver glitter mary janes on Ebay. She will be allowed to wear them to the meals only - I'm sure they'll kill her feet! ;) Later, we'll attend the Epcot princess breakfast - I may pack her Jasmine or Tink dress for this, as those are her favorites. If not, she can wear Cinderella again. And then we'll have to have Sleeping Beauty for the Tea.

My baby will be 18 months by then, and she has a Tinker Bell Halloween costume that I'll pack too, in case she wants in on the fun! I got both girls the red polka dot dresses from Gymboree's Cherry Pie line to wear at Chef Mickeys.

We are going to the GF Princess Tea Party on December 20 (okay, I and my DD7 are -- my DH and DS12 are running away as fast as they can). Is it as great as I've read? It didn't make the Unofficial Guide 2006, so I'm trying to get as many first hand reviews as I can (allearsnet has a lot of them).

I took my DD (5 at that time) in October 2004. Thought it was fantastic.
There are more details and photos on my trip report here

Bring both - I miss those days! My girls are now 11 and 9 and are hesitant about even dressing up for MNSSHP :(

My dd's used to love to dress up for the dinners and would start out some mornings in the parks but always ended up "itchy". As for shoes if she has comfy sandels they look great or white ked type shoes. One year my dd's were loving tinkerbell so I sprayed glitter on the white keds and they loved them. I say if she is comfortable let her wear them but bring a change just in case especially if she is wearing the "dress up shoes".

Whatever you wold like. I know I am a pain but I would want my daughter in a diff dress at each one. She never wears the dress all day we put it in a backpack and she changes befoer the lunch. Have fun

I am doing the CRT breakfast at the beginning of the trip and the Aurora tea at the end and I think we will only bring one dress. I like jnordan's idea ( ;) ) of wrapping the dress up for the tea and having it be a special treat.

We have 3 princess meals & a MNSSHP times two girls - the horror of the packing for this trip!!
I really didnt want to bring a back pack for the dresses, but guess I will have to ;)
