We have two princess dinners planned. My dd is 3 1/2 and this is our first trip to WDW. She has a Aurora dress and a Cinderella dress. Do I just bring one and let her wear it to both or do I bring both and let her wear one to each dinner? I can't decide...

Then what about the shoes....what are all the little princess wearing?

I won't be much help in deciding which dress to bring, my DD 4 is very insistant that she wear ALL her princess dresses to dinner. She thinks that dinner is a formal event, even for mac 'n cheese at home. :confused3 I can offer some help for the shoes, she will be wearing her white sandles from the summer. They are much more comfortable for walking than those glass slippers!

How many? I am soooo missing the boat by having two boys... :sad2:

I'm lucky enough that DD2 is so young that she won't mind wearing her Crocs with her Cinderella dress! :lmao:

We went last year and did the Princess Tea Party at the GF, princess lunch at Norway and also Halloween party. I brought 3 costomes - one for each. I am wishing I had only brought one or maybe two looking back. No kids were dressed up for the Norway lunch and I think DD 5 could have worn the same one to the tea party and Halloween.

We only took one, but we only had an ADR for 1900 Park Fare. As for shoes, DD wore her white sandals. I wanted her to be comfy and she was waltzing around just fine.

A little off topic,

My DD4.5 LOVES her "gowns" as she calls them. At Disneyland she would wear a different princess gown or minnie each day, even into cal. adventure.

Just wondering do the girls wear costumes at MGM, epcot and AK? Or just the MK and at character dining?

As many as I can fit in the luggage!!! My dd4 will wear her princess dresses all day long. She just loves it. I do bring a change of clothes incase she changes her mind but she never does. I only let her wear gym shoes. It should be interesting this time as she only has pink gym shoes. We have two weeks maybe we can break in a pair of white gym shoes.

We are so girly.. and my daughter took all of her dresses... I think we packed 8.. she did wear them all.. and the pictures were priceless... we had free dining last year too.. thank goodness!

Thanks for all your replies…I guess we won’t be out of the norm if I took the two but thank goodness we just have the two.

We are going to the GF Princess Tea Party on December 20 (okay, I and my DD7 are -- my DH and DS12 are running away as fast as they can). Is it as great as I've read? It didn't make the Unofficial Guide 2006, so I'm trying to get as many first hand reviews as I can (allearsnet has a lot of them).

I was really debating this, too. . .

We'll be doing the Princess Tea Party with Aurora (and going to the BBB) beforehand. Additionally, we'll be having breakfast with Cinderella and will be going to Chef Mickey.

In the end, I think I've decided I'm ONLY going to bring the Aurora dress. My DD will also wear her princess dresses all day long every day -- but not just the dresses, she MUST also wear a crown, shoes, and her "jewels" (clip on earrings, necklaces, rings. . .). So, for our own sakes, she'll wear normal clothes at Disney, but on the day of the tea, she'll receive a "gift" from Aurora, beautifully wrapped, etc. It will be a new Aurora "gown", shoes, maybe even a pretty necklace or something . . . I think it will make THAT day all the more special, too.

We're not going until May, though, so maybe I'll change my mind again before then?!!?

Our nieces are wearing their Minnie Mouse costumes for dinner at Chef Mickeys and the MNSSHP and their Jasmine costumes for the Princess Breakfast...they will want to wear the shoes that match but I will bring their sneakers along too

I actually brought DD's MaryJanes from Stride Rite the day of our BBB make-over. Thank goodness!!!! She liked the shoes at first but then started having trouble walking in them. I had packed the black patent leathers with lacey white socks ---- sorta an odd combo, but she felt so much more comfortable.

(I knew there was a reason I spent so much on those shoes!)

On our last trip, we took our Belle Dress (for Norway) and our Alice dress for 1900 Park Fare. The previous trip was Cinderella for the castle and Snow White (for Norway). She wears her Crocs with them....so cute and so comfortable!

Last year dd5 (at the time) packed 2 princess dresses, but in the end she only wore one dress. She attened the Tea with Aurora (and we LOVED this event for the PP who asked - it was a real highlight of the trip for dd, myself, and grandma...it is done so well and truly a very special activity) and for this she wore her aurora costume. However, we also did breakfast in the castle, breakfast in Norway, and dinner at Park Fair...dd chose not to dress for these meals.

This trip I thought perhaps DD would elect not to dress up at all. Last trip was for her 5th birthday so we hit the princess events hard. This trip we are doing BBB and then we have an ADR at Park Fair for dinner with Cinderrella. DD would like to wear her aurora costume (she loves Cinderella, but she loves pink more LOL) to the BBB and dinner, and I said that would be lovely.

We also have a dd 1 (an Abbey like another poster...20 months), and I am torn on whether she will dress or not. I have a Cinderella dress from her big sister that fits her, so I will probably bring it and see how it works out. We leave in 2 days for our trip - so exciting!!!

I'm taking as many as I can get made in time. So far I have one done and I'm sure I can get 2 more done easily. I'm hoping to get her 4 total, but I also have to make 2 for my ds, one for my dh, and one for me, too. We're going to the P&PP and we're all dressing up. I have until January, so we'll see how much I can do.
