Our trip next month .I am going be in a power chair but will also have my son who is in a wheelchair

he can walk a little and is small enough to just lift if real bad day on to a seat could fold his wheelchair

Would they let us board this way?if only one space rather than wait for a bus with two

Yes, a person can transfer out of any wheelchair to sit in a regular seat. Anyone in an ECv should/must transfer.

There are more and more buses with 2, 3, or even 4 wheelchair spots, so you may find that do you ok.

If you are tied down in your powerchair, you will not be allowed to hold your child on your lap. Can he sit on his own or is there someone else with you?

Also, when you said power chair, you meant a chair with a joystick attached usually to an armrest, and not an ECV, which is driven with a tiller in front of the driver, correct? I ask because many people get these two confused, and it can make a difference for both bus and ride boarding.

All Disney buses can accommodate two or more wheel chairs. The question is how many other disabled passengers are already on board when you get there.

Hi
Thank you

Yes I mean a power chair.Have one at home( in uk) but decided to fly with my manual rather than risk any damage as it would ruin holiday if can not leave the airport and have booked one for when we arrive

/yes he can sit ok long as someone next to him and my 10 year old dd used to proping him up if floppy day

All buses can hold two wheelchairs or ecv some can hold thee and a few can hold four. You don't have to stay in them you can transfer and as you said the wheelchair has to be folded and sit in front of you out of the isle as much as possible. If their no seats to transfer to you can wait for another bus or just use the tie down if they no other wheel chair on board.
