I went to a small high school. There were only 96 of us graduating that year!! (Probably why it wasn't too hard for me to be in the Top Ten grade wise!!;) )

You think yours was small...we only had 65 in our graduating class.

We only had 65 in our class as well. We were one of the larger classes at the time. Now I think they have grown to about 90.

I can't imagine 600 classmates!! We had less than a thousand students k-12.

500 it would have been 900 if some would not drop out high school.

Yes the class was huge

My graduating class was right around 450 after taking out the people who failed their senior year.

823! I was born in 1958, which had the highest birth rate of the "Baby Boom" years. Our HS was totally over crowded and they did everything they could to keep as many of us off campus as much as possible...all Freshmen had 1st hour off; all Juniors and Seniors had 7th hour off, and Seniors also had 6th hour off. There were no study halls because there was no place to put them. Best of all (for us) the campus was totally open - we could all leave for lunch - no way they could have fed us all if we had all wanted to eat lunch at school.

My DH grew up in another part of the state but they had it even worse, overcrowding-wise. The students were on "split shifts" meaning some kids went to school at an un-Godly early hour and left early, and then the next shift of kids arrived to go to school into the early evening.

We had 500 something in 1996.

Taylor1293, did you graduate from a HS in southwestern IL? I went to Belleville West, class of '76.

Right around 400 or so and we were one of the smallest classes during that time. Cool thing too is we had about a 2% drop out rate so hardly anyone didn't graduate with their class :)

mine was about 26 or 27, definatly under 30. Gotta love those all girl catholic schools!;)

292! I can't imagine having only 30 people........guess you better get along with everyone!

636 in mine, yes I was one of those baby boomers born in 1957. we had over 2200 in our high school. The freshman went in the afternoon from 12:30-4:30, the rest went from 8:00-12:00!
