How many vouchers would you buy per meal for 2 adults and 3 kids?
I know we could not eat the burger, fries and the ice cream. I am afraid 2 is too few and 3 are too many.

What about the VKL vouchers? When I look at the menu for the Rainforest Cafe, it does not really seem worth it for the kids vouchers like it does for the adult. The kids menu is kind of lame. Maybe I should just get 2 adult, or leave the kids and just one for me and DH?

I need to order soon, but don't want to order too many!

In February, we used 1 adult voucher at RFC for myself, DH and DD3 and had plenty. The portions are large and the servers help you get the best items for the voucher. We had the quesdillas for appetizer, Maya's Grill for entree, coconut bread pudding for dessert and hubby drank large soda, myself ice water and DD had a sippy cup of juice we brought with us.

you don't mention how old the kids are but if they are preschool to early elementary I would think one for them to split for the klv would be plenty.( i am assuming they get the app. entree and dessert like the adult does) I seem to recall some posting that at some places( pretty sure RFC was one) the kids got to order some items from the regular menu ( such as Appe.) My husband and I are planning on 1 adult to split as we never would eat an app. dessert and entree each.

the q/c would be not as much to eat but maybe it would make sense to go with an adult for the 3 kids to split there since the selection is so limited. however my kids split a macdonalds happy meal when they were little as neither were big eaters so I don't know if that is realistic for all.

also someone mentioned you can purchase a double burger and buy an extra bun for under a dollar which sounds like a good idea to me as we would not eat a whole burger, whole fries and whole dessert either so for that I'd get one for the kids and one for the adults and it seems like you would have more than enough.

did you check out the AK vouchers? the pizza place pizzas are supposd to be the same size for kids and adults.

I also figure I'd rather have too few and need to spend a couple extra bucks than waste vouchers that would expire before I could use them

You know on the Q&C you can get the double burger and get an extra bun, They you have 2 burgers and can share the fries, drink and dessert.
We used 2 adult and 1 child VK voucher at RFC and we haad tons of food. Our server told us we could order off the main menu for the childs voucher also. There were 6 of us and we had: appetizers 2 quesadilla's and 1 order fried cheese, main meal--2 surf and turf and 1 full rack mojo bones for dessert we had the volcano and could have had 1 other dessert but we really didnt need another so we gave it to a family at another table. We even took some left overs with us when we left, it really was a lot of food.

We got the giant icee type drink in the tall plastic glass with our VKL voucher for DD, then we got her a kid's meal and bought a reg soda and DH and I split the meal we got with the voucher. DD shared the quesideis with us and we took the choc. cake back to the hotel for a snack before bed. Unless your child eats a lot, I would think you could skip the child voucher and just buy the kid's meal (I think the chicken nuggets were $5.99).

I just got back. DH and I took DD(8), DD(5), and DS(3). At Rainforest Cafe we used one adult and one kid voucher. The server told us that they always let kids order off the adult menu. So, my family enjoyed the appetizer sampler(chicken fingers, cheesesticks, crab dip, and calamari), steak and shrimp, stuffed lobster, and the volcano dessert. We had more than enough food.

At Pizzafari, three of us shared one voucher. (pizza, breadsticks, dessert pizza, large drink). The other kids paid 5.99 each and got the AK meal....entree, drink, snack, plus popcorn or icecream and coke or water. That's an exceptional deal.

At Sci-fi, we used two kids' meals and one adult meal. We were hungry and got so much food that we didn't need to eat for the
rest of the day.

So, for my family, we used about two q &c vouchers per meal, and one adult lunch voucher and one or two kids' vouchers per meal.

not to sound like a pig but how large is the lobster, enough to share for 2 adults with the appe. and dessert? and was the crab dip good? sounds fantastic but is it real crab or fake? this meal may be moving up to a "dinner" spot!

Thanks

The lobster was one whole lobster just cut right down the middle. But since we got 2 surf & turfs--dh ended with a whole lobster to himself.

As the previous poster stated, it's a whole lobster cut in half. It also comes with four coconut shrimp and a side of shrimp scampi. Oh, and it has rice too. Believe me, it's huge. The crab dip was delicious. I believe it was real crab meat. RFC is a great place to use vouchers. We ate there at 5:15, but we still were able to use the lunch vouchers. I'm a big RFC fan anyway, but that was such a deal!

We ate dinner twice at RFC with the VKL vouchers. DH, myself, and DD1 shared 1 adult voucher. We brought DD's baby food as well. The one meal was big enough for the two of us, and although we did not clean our plates, I think we would have to order more if DD was older. The food was very good and the wait was not bad. We had the steak and lobster the first time (was upgraded to filet minion), and the steak and shrimp the second time (bigger steak-might have been sirloin). The cheesecake and chocolate cake with raspberry sauce were delicious!

by surf and turf are you meaning lobster and steak or the shrimp and steak ( did not see the first on the menu but hubby would way prefer steak to lobster! so he's a little nutty in that one respect...what can I say!) he does have a question though..if it is lobster and steak is the steak tiny?

No the steak was a good size. Im not sure how big but I would say 6 or 7 oz atleast. I prefer steak to any kind of seafood and dh loves seafood so it worked out perfect for us. They also have another platter that sounds good with mojo bones, grilled shrimp and tuscan chicken. I think we are going to try that next time.
