Nowadays, if you want to buy, read, post or play games online, every website requires that you register a username and a password. It seems a bit rediculous to me how many usernames and passwords you have to create for ebay, amazon, disboards, checking email, banking etc. How many usernames and passwords fo you have to keep track of? Do you have them all memorized or written down?

Off the top of my head for me: about 12 or 13 :)

yeah...at least 12... paying bills online... bank acct., everything at work..oh make that probably closer to 20!! :furious: You can't write them down due to security reasons...but come on.. I try to make as many as I can the same! It is beyond ridiculous.

Too many! dh and I have to keep a list, because there's no way we'd remember them all.

I don't even know how many usernames I have but I have the same password for everything. Probably not very safe, but much easier for me.

At my former job, I had so many, & they all needed to be changed regularly.

I actually made an excel spreadsheet & kept it on my desktop. BUT, it of course was also PASSWORD PROTECTED.

I try to keep my username the same--I think I only have 2 that I use. But I have TONS of passwords. Its REALLY crazy!!!

I have the same user name and password ofr everything. Some sites require a number, so I just add a number to my usual purpose

So do I. Much easier to keep up with!

Let's see, at work alone I have 3. I have, if I recall them all, 6 or 7 yahoo/Gmail accounts, 2 for "the DIS", 401(k), eBay, bank accounts ... what ... at least 15?

I have a piece of paper full of them. There is easily over 20 on there.

I have a little card index box and have sites listed by alphabet on cards.

If I didn't have that, and I got a bump on the head, I would be in serious trouble. !!!

The card index box works great. No more pieces of paper to get lost

I have someting like 2 or 3. I try to keep it simple. I use my email name for the user name and the password I keep it simpe...I use only 1. I know, I'm screwed if someone ever figures out my password. But you know, I use such an obscure word for my password that I'm fairly certain that no one will ever figure it out...a friends already tried and failed.

I have about ten but I alternate from 2-3 passwords so it's easy to remember!

I've got 12 for work alone. And to add to that "fun" is the fact that each of the accesses has different requirements for what needs to be in the password and also different time periods for when they have to be reset.
Then there are the 15 to 20 at for home use with CC and utilitiy payments, Amazon account, etc. It does get ridiculous after a while.
I do have a listing of all web-sites with login IDs and passwords and pray that it never gets lost :)
