How Many Trips Can I Milk?~A PTR

I LOVE the marry poppins tank!!!:lovestruc
How does the tink stuff smell?

yea, a bagalini!

I'm thinking of ordering one of these too, so I'd love your thoughts once you use it. I'm not sure if I'm going for the lime gree...sorry DISers. I did make a LGMH luggage tag for whatever bag I get. I tend to already wear a lot of green anyway and with a green bag, I might look like a life sized lucky charm!:rotfl:

Loved the shirts! I'm going to try my hand at them too, but am :scared1: Please tell me it was painless.

Oooh, I love all the pictures of your purchases. :) The Mary Poppins tank is adorable. And now I have to go buy the treasure hunt book. My kids will love to do that. Great update!

Oh, and I wanted to mention my one beef with the Baggalini. I loved the organizational aspect of the bag, but the way it positioned itself on my chest was just very unflattering, so I used it as a shoulder bag instead. Personally, I hate shoulder bags and the way they are constantly sliding off, so I was just a little bit unhappy with my Baggalini experience.

Oh, I've been naughty and haven't caught up for a few days :sad2: . Sorry to hear about Disney On Ice, we took Sophie to one a surprise over here last year and loved it. Like you said it was one big commercial for Disneyland and all the snacks were seriously overpriced but I can't wait to go again. Shame I don't live in Florida (yet! ) or I could have come with you.

I love the tops and the books you made are great. The Tink Spirit stuff looks cool, will have to look out for that when were there ... only 5 weeks now :woohoo: . Oh and Miss Botox is so cute, she has some serious attitude :rotfl2:

That's funny! I didn't realize they'd have the same ice show over there.
I can't believe you're down to just 5 weeks! :goodvibes

And then, suddenly, after reading your update, Passporter's Treasure Hunts ended up in my shopping cart on amazon. I wonder how that happened??? ;) :confused3

It turned out great! I will probably be asking you how to do the whole iron-on transfer thing in another week -- I plan on attempting it during my spring break.

And, then, quite inexplicably, I find I need to make a quick run to Walmart! :lmao: How does it smell?

Cute! What size are they? How are you planning on binding them? I haven't quite figured out how I want to do that for Chelsea and Connor's autograph books.

:yay: You got the Treasure Hunts! I was reading through the clues right when the book arrived, and they are not easy. Some of them I knew right away, but others you'd really need to look for carefully :magnify: . I figure that's a book you could use if you found yourself at a crowded park and had time to spare before your FPs could be used.

I had so much fun doing the shirts, and I plan on doing a couple more. The hard part was narrowing down what I liked. Otherwise, my wardrobe for the next year had the chance of being Disney-related! They were surprisingly easy to do, and you can definitely ask me any questions when you get ready to make your own.

The books are actually already bound. I found them at Office Max. They came 2 in a pack just like that. They probably have about 20 pages in them. I am concerned about how the binding will stick. It is just glue, so I might have to see if I could somehow reinforce it. They're about the size of a small photo album---maybe 8x8?

You've been busy, but in a totally "healthy" Disney obsessed way.....:thumbsup2

Those covers look great.....wow.

Thanks! :goodvibes I fear I will run out of ways to obsess between now and July, but so far, there's always something else Disney-related I can keep busy with. When I run out of things, I might just have to read your TR again from the beginning!

Great ptr! Joining in!

:welcome: Thanks for the compliment!

How does the tink stuff smell?

Embarrassingly enough, I haven't smelled it! I don't know why :confused3 . I'll have to give them a smell when I get home tonight. Tink seems to be the root word for STINK, so hopefully that's not the case! :scared:

I know, I'm kind of afraid this is what I'll look like ----> :shamrock:
BUT, I do want other Dis'ers to be able to recognize me, and DH will just DIE if anyone actually comes up to us  . I figure the LIME GREEN bag could be my open invitation to them! :goodvibes

Personally, I hate shoulder bags and the way they are constantly sliding off, so I was just a little bit unhappy with my Baggalini experience.

I am also concerned about how it's going to look, as the strap sits right through the center of your chest. I also wouldn't want to cover up any of the tanks I'm making. There's also a slim-to-none chance of DH carrying it for me. So, I may choose to steal your idea of wearing it over my shoulder. We'll see...

Fun! I haven't actually ordered it yet, but it is sitting in the cart on Amazon along with the Passporter's Cruise guide book. Just waiting for my paycheck on Friday...:)

I will definitely be taking you up on that! I have some of my designs picked out -- I just need time, shirts, and transfer paper. :thumbsup2

What section did you find them in?

DSCN1662.jpg

I don't know...I'm tempted to keep this pen for myself. It lights up when you write with it! My students would be so mesmerized by it, they might actually pay attention!

My students love when I write with light up pens. I have some Disney ones I use all the time.

I love all your other finds!

Quick update on the Tink Spirit bath products:
They're a Pomegranate & Mango scent...very sweet and fruity smelling. Personally, I think they smell good, but I could imagine they might be a little much for someone with a sensitive nose.
Oh well, that's just my 2 cents...

As promised, less talk, more pics!

Here are just a FEW of my recent purchases:

DSCN1621.jpg

I already showed you the one on the left. I love, love, love the book in the middle. DH thinks it's a silly investment, but I think Faith will get a kick out of treasure hunting. It has hunts for every park, resort, and even the cruise ships! I wasn't too impressed with the UG. I know MANY people on here swear by that book, but I don't think it added anything to my knowledge of Disney. I could definitely have found the same info here, and it doesn't have any of the nice, colorful pictures that the Complete Guide has.

DSCN1624-1.jpg

It's my baggalini! I am so excited to use this bag on my trips. It it just the right size, and it has neat little pockets in all the right places. Do you think anyone will recognize me as a Dis'er in this? ;) I do have two concerns about it: 1. someone was saying the strap/buckle was irritating them and 2. someone else was saying the buckle was moving on them, so they had to pin it in place. I'm clearly going to need to test drive this bag prior to Disney to see how it works for me.

I have that same color!! I'm very excited to use it.

Now, I definitely will need to run by Wally World! I was afraid that they would be a floral scent (I can do florals), but anything fruity I can handle. Yippee!

Oh I love anything mango smelling, especially fresh, fruity smells. Right a trip to Walmart is definately on the agenda.

The hard part will be waiting until the trip to actually use the stuff! Yes, I made up that stupid rule myself! Disney bath products must only be used in Disney.

I have that same color!! I'm very excited to use it.

I really struggled with whether or not to go with the lime green. In the end, I thought, what the heck! It should be an attention grabber!

Now, I definitely will need to run by Wally World! I was afraid that they would be a floral scent (I can do florals), but anything fruity I can handle. Yippee!

Yes, pick them up, start using them, and DH will be all gung ho about a Disney cruise before you know it! It smells like a tropical vacation!

Disney and obsessed are often used in the same sentence by the guys in our family when they refer to the girls in my family.

Other words/phrases are possessed, serious issues, cult...

We ignore them.

I ignored them so much that I just booked this morning for another Thanksgving trip, and I have been walking on air all day!

So, now when we leave Pop in July, I'll at least know I have November to look forward to.
Thank heavens.
I was stressing about just having one trip on the books.
I think I have some kind of disease - Disney trip disorder or something.
I think the remedy is, "Take one trip and call me in the morning,"...to book a new trip, that is!

I can't wait to see all of your purchases, but since we're blocked from a lot of stuff at school, I have to wait until the evening to see what all the little red x boxes turn out to be.

Hey Britt! I've finally moseyed on over to your Pre-Trippie from mine. (Priorities and all, LOL!) And I have to say, you're a pretty funny chickadee. So, after reading ALL SEVENTEEN pages on my lunch break, here's what I have to say:

Really, I was just throwing the idea around  , and my DH was trying to dodge it.

This happens every time I say the word "mall".

I was met with some hostile opposition, but, undeterred, I carried on.

See! There was a DISer in there and you didn't even know it yet!

Anyway, DH loves his job and seems to subscribe to the belief that the more dangerous the activity, the more fun it is.

Does he need a new BFF? My man has an opening.

Sharing is for people who are still dating, and thus still care what their partner thinks of them...

I disagree. It's for people who are dating and have known each other less than a year. I've known my BF for 10 years and I can remember a time when getting him to share his Outback Sydney's Sinful Sundae with me took nary the bat of an eyelash. Now I just ignore his protests and tell the waitress to bring two spoons.

Stunning. BF and I want to do an Alaskan cruise at some point.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
DSCN1506-1.jpg

Cutest. Pics. Of. "Borrowed". MH's. EVER.

My dog, Botox, doesn't seem very amused by the whole process...
DSCN1523-1.jpg

1. I LOVE your dog.
B. That is, hands down, the best name. Period. Ever. Amen.
III. Do you get used to the snoring? This type of pup is on me and BF's 'Puppy to buy when we purchase a home' list.

I never thought I'd see the day when I would be EXCITED to receive rather ugly footwear. That day was today.

Oh, just wait until the Croc debate breaks out on my pre-trippie. I'm not a shoe princess. Or a shoe snob. I'm a shoe SNOT. It's going to be bad. You'll see. I'm already planning on two separate posts about footwear.

Unfortunately, on his ONE day off, he was called in to help with a hooker sting.

I'm using the phrase 'hooker sting' at least twice today.

can we officially use Croc as a verb? Just wondering...

I've started using monorail as a verb. So I don't see why not.

Side note: Bizarro Day continues as spell check actually accepts the word "bizarro" into the English language...

One of our favorite pasttimes at work is seeing what spell check wants to change unrecognizable words to. :goodvibes

I post this for all of you Dis'ers who might think of taking a "side job" to raise more money for your Disney vacations. If this man pulls you over offering you little more than $20 and a Big Mac, say no.
DSCN1552.jpg

(Lest you think I jest about the Big Mac, I do not. Some people have no standards. :sad2: )

Seriously, these "ladies" should at least be holding out for a Quarter Pounder. With cheese.

Every day after lunch, my school does a campus-wide Drop Everything and Read program, also known to some of my students as the Don't Even Attempt Reading program.

:lmao:

Miss Botox got her Easter gift early.

This bunny lost its eyes and nose within seconds!

DSCN1597.jpg

My mom's 2 year old Lab pup does the same thing. If it makes noises, he'll also pull out the squeaker.

DH: "I'm not so sure about this Coral Reef."
Me: "Ummm, isn't this the only ADR you WANTED? :confused3 "
DH: "Well, yeah, but I think maybe it's too gimmicky; you know, with the whole fish tank thing and all."
Me:  "What?"
DH: "What was that place you kept saying everyone on the Dis recommends?"
Me: "Le Cellier? "
DH: "Yeah, why don't we eat there. Don't the people on the Dis know everything?"
Me: "Well, HONEY  , we HAD that ADR before, and you said to CANCEL it because you couldn't find ANYTHING good to eat on the menu. Remember, then the CM LAUGHED at me for being so foolish as to give up the ressie? Don't you remember this conversation (argument) we had?"
DH: "Why wouldn't you just be able to make a new reservation?"
Me:

Men. Gotta love them. Because we can't put them all on their own island. Unless it has ESPN and SPIKE.

Practically perfect in every way!

"Don't you want to know what I bought you? Can't we open gifts now? I'll let you shake your gift if I can shake mine?" :hyper: Truly obnoxious behavior.

Two peas in a pod, are we.

BrittBritt, this is fantastic. Can't wait to read more! And I'm excited for ALL of your trips!!!

Oh, and I agree that Botox would like a certain ride in the MK also, only, if she's a TRUE nerd, she'd call it the PeopleMover and not the TTA!

Paging Mr. Morrow.

:flower3:

He he, sounds like one of my rules, like I can only buy a WS shot glass in Epcot when I have eaten in that countries restaurant, and ideally we only eat in one a trip - hence meaning we have to start having more frequent trips so I can complete my collection (good thinking I feel :thumbsup2 ).

I think I'll bring some back to put in my Disney guest room so my guests are totally submerged in Disney things, I might even be able to subtly (or not so much) convert them :rolleyes1

I love your Mary Poppins shirt, it is one of my favorite movies, I wish my kids liked it as much as me. I think I will make them watch it again before we leave on our trip. I also think I need to make a trip to Walmart and check out that tink body wash and stuff. Our closest walmart is in a town about 20 minutes away and there is nothing else there that I would go for, so I have to plan a trip there.

:woohoo: November trip! Thank goodness! This ensures the TR will continue long into the future. I've got to have me my MeMom fix (even if it's only a hidden MeMom ;) ).
Does this mean you're renewing your APs? That could pave the way for MANY more trips!

Oh my goodness! Bless you for wasting your lunch break on me! I absolutely LOVED all of your comments, and I truly thank you for taking the time to make them.
As for Miss Botox's snoring, you do get used to it. It's akin to falling asleep with the TV on...slightly soothing yet annoying at the same time. It is, however, LOUD. At one point, we had 2 bullies, and they'd sleep on either side of the bed. It was snoring in surround sound, and it blew any chance for romance that DH and I could imagine. We're not usually the romanic kind, you know, with so much reality television to watch and so little time, but the double snores truly put the kibosh on things like breakfasts in bed!

Shameless plug for you:
If anyone reading this hasn't stopped by Tinkerbellarella's PTR yet, GO! She is HILARIOUS!

Too funny!
Maybe I need to expand my rule: Disney bath products must only be used in Disney and must be entirely used within one year's time. (There's my chance to milk more trips----"Sorry DH, I MUST finish my bath products. That's the rule..." Hee-hee!)

LOVE this shirt - its so creative!! Plus its one of my favorite Disney movies!

RumblyTumbly's designs are wonderful. I would have never thought to put this quote on a shirt. I'm glad she had the idea!

Even though it's an out of the way trip, I think you'll like the bath stuff. You'll have to let me know if you end up getting it.

Just popping in to say I'll be updating tomorrow.

DH won some awards last night, and I have some silly pics from the ceremony I'm going to post. I was joking with CharlestonPrincess that no, he didn't win DH of the year. He was quite the ham during his acceptance speeches, and I repeatedly heard from others, "We're so sorry for you." Is that embarrassing or what? :rolleyes2 The sad part is, that's not the first time I've been told that!
I also bought a pin that's perfect for DH. There's NO WAY he'd ever wear pins on a lanyard, so I'll have to rent him a spot for his pin on mine. I'll post that pic tomorrow as well.

Thanks for reading! :goodvibes

I love your DH stories so I can't wait to see pictures too!
