how many times to disney?

Just booked my 5th trip this year!!! We are getting serious use out of that AP before it expires!..... I am sure DH :love2: will get us APs for next year!!

We go once a year to Disney, and usually one other non-disney trip. In 2006 though, we went twice to WDW, February & September (thanks to the free dining promotion).

In 2007 we are only doing a Disney cruise, with no plans on going to WDW until 2008...I do not know if I am going to break down & book a quick trip down in late 2007.

DH and I saw something on TV about winning $8 million. I told him "We could live at Disney with that".

we're planning once a year now...but if I could afford it...I wouldn't leave!! I would LOVE to live within 15 minutes of the parks ...go there for lunch, dinner...weekends... I could seriously just live there! Unfortunately, dh doesn't like the FL heat... maybe a second home someday.

we live 50 miles from Cedar Point...so I've gotten my fill of that. It is a blast for thrill rides..but no pixy dust there!

Hi
This ( feb 07 ) will be my 5th disney cruise and 8th wdw plus disney california last spring in only 4 years :goodvibes
We fell in love with disney and would go even more often if possible can't get enough :)
bye

Every other year.

In the off years we do something else.

My first husband had parents who vacationed a lot with the family, and felt vacations were necessitities instead of luxuries. He had no idea how lucky he was growning up - and no idea how to budget for it. When his parents stopped the gravy train, we (he) had a very hard time that helped end our marriage. Vacations were just one part of it. My sister married (and divorced) a guy with similar problems a few years later - his parents had been wealthier, so his financial problems (and 'needs') were way higher. ("Doesn't everyone need new ski gear every year - how can you show up on the slopes in Aspen wearing last years skis?")

So we are trying to raise our children not to expect "entitlements." We want them to be able to afford something approximating our lifestyle when they leave home.

I now know the precise answer - every 8 months. We last went in May, and I have absolutley no idea why, but out of the blue yesterday, my 6yo starts talking of nothing but Disney!! He started by saying he's saving his birthday and Christmas money for Disney, and has been nothing but planning talk since. - And we don't expect to be able to go again for quite a while, so it's news to me! I have no idea why the light flipped on, but I guess that tells me. - If resources were unlimited, we'd go about every 8 months!
