How many times have YOU been to FW ??

Since we purchased our latest RV in 2002, we have gone to FW 30+ times and used our DVC Points once before they started charging the reservation fee. Before we got the RV we used our DVC points at OKW, BCV and BWV about 5 times a year since '97.

Before joining DVC it was 2 or 3 times a year.

The disney rules are changing. Now they are going to charge $90 per reservation to go to the fort with the points....... I immediately cancelled attempting to get disney vacation club points.

We sold our OKW contract and have a smaller SSR contract since we use the RV so much.

This will be our first trip! First time to Disney, first time to FtW!

We've been going since the early 80's. We've lived in Utah, Texas, North Carolina and now South Carolina since we've been going.
One thing we know - all roads lead to Ft. Wilderness. We've strayed and stayed at the Lodge, but we keep returning to Ft. Wilderness.

We have been to WDW 7 times. We have stayed at Carribean Beach Resort whenever it first opened and it cost us about 62.00 a night, that was alot of money for us back then to spend on a room, and we had the best time of our lives.
We have camped at FW once in April of this year.

The very best times were the first three times we ever went, we couldn't be happier , I loved everything about wdw and didn't ever see any bad in anything and didn't expect anything so it made it so great.

Wow! Some of you have been 15+ times. I'll be posting that one day. We're new to the RV World. This trip will make our 2 within 4 mths.

We try to make it to WDW at least 30 days a year. Most of the time we get to stay at the Fort because we go "off season". Of we are retired and only live about 70 miles away.

We have been going every year since 1986 sometimes 3 and 4 times a year. I have no idea what the actual count would be, I would have to guess well over 25. We don't get to go as much as we would like anymore, but do try to make it at least once a year.

We have gone to the Fort three times, looks like it is turning in to an annual Easter event for us. We will be back this Easter as well.

Too many to count! From 1974 to 1987, at least 4 weekends & 2 weeks each year. From 87 to 92 we had no camping equipment so we had to "lower" ourselves to stay at various resorts (Riverside & French Quarters are my fav's). From 92 to '02, many weekend trips & vacation weeks. In 2002 in addition to several weekends, we had an extended stay from 11/02 to 3/03. Then another extended stay from 10/03 to 02/04. Since then, we pick up at least 2 or 3 weekends each year & 10 days to 2 weeks at Christmas.

Sometimes I feel that we should have a loop named after us!!:rotfl2:

I've kept detailed records since 1985 when we went often and with this upcoming trip we are well over 15 but 14 trips since 1985 . After this trip we will have spent over 280 days staying at FW so that is an average stay of 20 days each trip. 5 of these trips have been 30 days or more which we think is the ideal stay cost wise, etc. During those times we do the AP and often get two visits out of a single AP.

Unfortunately, beginning in 2008, you are going to be charged a day by day rate. Gone are the days when you could get an extended stay discount or paying one rate for the entire ressie. Actually, I've talked with some of the winter people who said that starting December 15, they are being charged the day by day rates. With the abundance of people staying at FtW, Disney no longer needs to offer any discounts at all. :sad2:

Made res. Last week I was told I have bin there 122 times.

This year we are already paying the multiple structured, day by day rate and what I was referring to is mainly the cost of getting there and back (~900mi each way) which for this trip will be two to three times what it has been in the past.

OK, let me see, we went in January, February, March, August, October, and November.

That makes 6, right?

So six times for me. . . .

. . . .This year! :cool1:

Over the course of history, I couldn't tell you.

I would say easily more than 50!
