Evening All!!

Occasionally I get the bug to sell on Ebay. ;) Sometimes I sell, sometimes I don't :confused3

Question of the moment - How many times will you relist an item before you give up? Or what will you change or do differently to sell the item?

Thanks and of course have a Magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:

I love EBay, but don't have the extra $$$ to buy. I've sold a few times and had some success. It depends what you sell and when it ends, I think.

Best of luck to you.

Here are some suggestions of what I do with my ebay store that you may want to try...

I never relist without doing some research first. Check searching with some of the key words in your title. Are you pulling up things like what you are selling? If not, change the title. For example, listing something as cellular phone may not get as many hits as cell phone. We once relisted camcorder as video camera and then it sold.

Then, see what the other items are selling for. Is your starting price too high? Is your reserve too high? As many times as we can, we start at a penny with no reserve. I think a lot of people like the thrill of watching the auction go up. So if you're starting a $50 item at $45, you may not have many bites.

One last thing, is your shipping reasonable? Since I sell a lot, I know average shipping rates. If something should cost about $7 or 8 to ship but the shipping is $20, I don't buy it even if the auction is low.

I hope this helps some. Good luck with your selling!

Some things just don't sell well. I have relisted things at a lower price and redid the ad a little and still nothing. I usually give up after three times and put that in my garage sale box. I listed a lot of nice high priced name brand women's clothes and got no bids. I put the lot together and same thing. I guess size 4-6 are not that popular.

I will relist Twice in hope of selling the item. The first time the following week after it ended, this way it qualifys for the free relist if it sells. If it doesn't sell, then I annalyize why. Is it just not worth it to someone else to buy? Shipping too much? Is it the right time of year? etc. If I convience myself that it should have sold and just didn't I wait awhile. A month or more then try ONCE MORE. And then give up.
