We are heading to WDW for our DD's birthday again this year. It seems as though it's becoming our annual trip. My question is how many times do you have a special celebration for your child's birthday while in WDW? Do you just say it's a birthday celebration for every TS meal? Just one? Or a couple? I was just wondering what everyone else does.

Last year she had 4 small celebrations and 1 BIG one on her actual birthday.

For our upcoming trip we're planning on doing a breakfast and dinner TS (CP and WCC) to celebrate my son's birthday (on his actual birthday), in addition to a birthday button and other surprises throughout the day. I'm considering noting his birthday on a few ADR's throughout the rest of the week, but I'm still not 100% sure about it. The more I think about it though, the better it is starting to sound. Who doesn't want to feel special for more than one day?!

For my birthday, I celebrate once in every park. I wear the pin in each park one day, and will have one special TS dinner on my birthday (or if my birthday doesn't fall during the trip, like last time, pick a 'special dinner' night).

That sounds in line with what you have done. "Mini-celebrate" by wearing the pin and enjoying the special treatment once in each park. Then have one BIG official celebration one night!

I wonder...do you ever plan to have another child? Could be setting a tough precedent to keep up if you make this truly annual!

We did it only the day of her Birthday... even though she wanted to wear it all week. And judging from the CM's asking when her birthday "was" I guess a lot of people "MILK" that button for all it's worth.

We did talk to one kid who's birthday fell BEFORE they got to Disney.. yet he still had the button and according to his brother he had worn it for 5 days.My DD9 wants to do that again( we just came back) but Disney in August is a TOUGH ONE.:faint:

I personally feel once is plenty, we are celebrating our daughters at Hoop Dee Doo and my sons at Crystal Palace. Its their birthdays also Sept 25th and Sept 30th.

Well if Disney can celebrate a Birthday for 18months then what will it hurt to celebrate your DDs for a week or so.

Now DD wears the button her entire trip we are there but we don't do anything special at the TSs.

One year I even made up stickers to replace the Today with like yesterday or tomorrow and the date for later in the week. CMs thought that was just so neat she would get a few fastpasses here and there.

That is a good idea, once in every park.

As for the "more"children. I'd love to but unfortunately my body won't let me. So she's a single Princess that reaps all the benifits!

Thanks for the help all.

I'll be at WDW for a week in Nov during my 50th bday - Fri to Fri - ACTUAL bday is on that Tues
I have it noted on a few ARs. I'll be wearing the bday button the entire week but only a 50s banner across my body on the actual day!
Have Dolphin encounter booked on my actual bday morning after lunch at Yacht Galley (gotta start that 50th w/a mimosa!) and its noted on my lunch AR that day at LeCellier
Also have Segway booked and Norway princess lunch. Going with another family on the Wishes birthday cruise
oh and on the actual day I'm asking Off Kilter and British Invasion to sing the birthday song. "Hey they say its your birthday! youre gonna have a good time"

We celebrated it 2x last trip, the night before and day of (we left that night). This upcoming trip we'll do it 3x- night before; day of (I'm going to order a cake for CRT); and the day after. I don't find it excessive, but understand if people disagree.

This is our 4th year celebrating dd's bday and ds's 3rd! They are Dec 11 and 13th. I never allow them to wear the pin all week, it kind of takes away from their actual special day to me! Every year we have celebrated ds's at Chef Mickey's and I order a cake etc. This year is no different, we often if possible also go to the MVMCP that night but this year for my son we are thinking of either the boat cruise or sleigh ride at WL. Last year we did Playhouse for breakfast for him too but this year just dinner. For dd's we've always done dinner at LTT with cake and them MVMCP (there seems to be one on her bday every year!) - we've done CRT last year which she loved and Akershus for breakfasts this year she's chosen O'hana . I usually let them wear the pin the actual day and sometimes the following day in another park but usually that's it. It's great just being there!!

I let DD wear her pin for both our park days on her birthday trip, but only noted her birthday on the ADR on her actual birthday. DS, who is usually more embarassed than pleased by people making a fuss over him, will probably only wear the button for his actual birthday.
