How many steps do you get in a DLR/DCA day?

Now that I wear a smart watch I'm much more aware of my steps. My all-time highest step day this year was 28,000 steps. I'm hoping not to repeat that at Disney. Lol. Just wondering if anyone counts their steps and what does your average day look like?

I hit 22600 on a Disneyland day, but that includes some "slower" moments - left the parks to meet family for dinner, and watched the MSEP parade that night - so we weren't go go go. Averaged around 20k each day we were in DLR.

Me, too, we generally hit 22-25k depending on how much we’re hopping, taking midday breaks back at the hotel, walking through DTD to get to one of the hotel restaurants, etc.

From my January trip. I do one park per day, open to close and stay in the park the whole time.

On our last day of 3 at Disneyland we hit 31,000 steps or 19 miles!! That was a new record for us! My husband limped out of the park but the kids could have kept going! The days before that were around 30,000 and 28 or 29,000 I believe.

I just looked at my history and that was the exact amount I hit last time I went to the parks in 2019.

I am thinking that with my upcoming trip not involving any running around getting physical fastpasses that the steps will take a hit. My guess is that it will be closer to 25,000 now. Then again you need to take your hotel distance into consideration.

As the group fastpass runner I used to do in the mid 30's. Like I said, my guess is that 20 to 25K would be the norm now.

Ugh, that's what i was thinking. 25,000 to 35,000 seems to be the norm. i have some issues with my feet and hips since the last time we visited DLR. i will have to take a mid-day hot tub break to get some water therapy on my old bones if I'm going to make it through the day.

Where are you staying? I just looked at my DLH stay last week. Busiest Park day was about 25000 steps. The other two days were 16,000 and 19,000.

Generally in an 8-10 hour day as a day guest, I hit 20,000.

Based on where you are staying/who are traveling with, is that going to be an issue? Unless you only have two days and are trying to see and do everything, I don't see what the big deal is with taking a midday break if you need to. It's supposed to be a fun, enjoyable trip. If you are in agony, that's not really a good way to spend the vacation.

We always take a midday break. So, no, that's not an issue. Just bemoaning the potential pain my body wis going to be in. Dealing with the early stages of rheumatoid arthritis has not been fun.
