I've been thinking about it lately and there are very few shows I have watched till the series end. Even shows I love at one point and can't imagine not watching. They tend to get stale, jump the shark, whatever. The only shows that I can say I stuck with till the end were either cut short (sniff, Sports Night) or were short to begin with...Sex and the City, The Office (uk), Coupling (uk) to name a few. But others like Friends, MASH, Cheers, even Frasier, I stopped watching ages before the series finale (although I did always watch the finale)

I am so into Lost I can't imagine not watching it, but already I can tell my interest might be wavering. I wonder if I will follow it thru till the end or if I will lose interest and move on.

Do you tend to watch series to the end? Or does your interest wane?

:worship: Melrose Place - Melrose Place - Melrose Place. :worship:

I dont watch *all* shows until theyre over and done with, though.

lol. I think I am the only person who liked Melrose Place pre-Amanda. Once she was on I just got bored and stopped watching. yeah, I know, I'm all alone on that one. hehehe.

Mash, Cheers, Seinfeld, Northern Exposure,Sex and the City, Sports Night, Twin Peaks

I can't think of any others but I'm determined to follow the Sopranos until the utter end. :teeth:

I was a Friends follower from the beginning...SATC, I joined in season 2 to the end...Charmed from the beginning (set to end, I think, this season)...90210 and Melrose Place...

There have only been a few to captivate me enough to keep watching every week. I do watch Lost every week and will continue to do so until it gets boring...lol

sex in the city, six feet under, carnivale (still hurting that hbo canceled it cuz it was'nt "dumb enough" to draw a bigger audience :( ).

there are several i've gone back and watched end to end via re-runs and tivo (waltons, chicago hope, northern exposure, mama's family, and i'm up to date on yes dear- just started watching er since they are running it daily in order).

dh could add all of the star treks, the babalons, buffy the vampire slayer and angel (gee, can you tell the kind of stuff he likes?).

just wish someone would start running thirty something in chrono. order.

I'm a series die-hard here. Once I start watching a series that I like, nothing really stops me from following it. Heck, I even watched the shows of series that I knew were doomed (Reunion). The only reason a show gets dropped is if they move it to a timeslot that is already filled with 2 shows that I watch (sorry Bones, but Wednesdays at 9 is taken by Veronica and Lost). I really need to get another Tivo to record more programs at once!

90210. I've been watching Alias from the start and will remain loyal until the end this May.

I think those are really the only that I watched from start to finish. I was once very loyal to The West Wing, Will and Grace and ER but I haven't watched them at all this season.

For most shows I loose interest or am late to the party.

I didn't start watching Friends until a few season's in. Same with Seinfield.

We had a big discussion about that last night. That networks aren't giving shows a chance any more. If they don't make a huge splash right away they are done. MASH, Cheers, they both took a few seasons to fall into a huge audience. Now even with 2-3 million viewers you are pulled by week 13.

I'm a total TV junkie.

Many of mine were cancelled too soon though-

Felicity
OZ
Seinfeld
Cheers
My So-called Life
American Dreams
ED
Joan of Arcadia
Homicide Life on the Streets
Six Feet Under
Melrose Place
Homefront
Gideons Crossing
90210
Once and Again
Party of Five
Judging Amy
Northern Exposure
Sex and the City

Probably others but I can't remember them.

What ever happened with that one? I started watching it - but I soon became bored with it. So obnoxiously cheesy!!! LOL! But - I still wanna know what happened?

Im waiting, on the edge of my seat, for Prison Break to start back up. I watch that, the way I watched Melrose.... can NOT miss it! Im hoping it will be around awhile. :hyper:

I don't watch a lot of TV. I've only seen two shows from beginning to end. Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. I tried watching 90210 and Felicity but got really bored about halfway through the first season.

I've watched all of Judging Amy on reruns, does that count?

I'm trying to watch Wildfire now but I always forget that it is on Monday nights. And now I'm reminding myself to watch it tonight... ;)

The ones I watch all the time and always have I also buy on DVD. So far I have every episode of Friends, the X-Files and Stargate. I have every episode too of Teachers (a UK show) and also collect Las Vegas, Stargate Atlantis and will collect Desperate Housewives and Lost too.
I have watched ER from the beginning too, but missed a few series along the way. I think that will be my next set to collect!

I've gone back and finished some shows during later reruns but I won't count those. The only shows I totally followed from beginning to end were Thirty Something and The X-Files, even after Fox left.

Cathryn - right now Reunion is in the stages of attempting to be picked up by other networks. If that does not happen (and it doesn't look like any networks really want this show), Kristin at eonline is going to post the spoiler with the actual ending, with who killed Sam and why her husband was in a wheelchair despite being able to walk.

I just want to know the ending too!

TV junkie here as well, once I am a fan I usually stay one.

Here are the ones I can think of...

Party of 5
Ally McBeal
Frasier
Friends
Judging Amy
Once & Again
Freaks & Geeks

Ones I've watched from the beginning and plan to the end are...

ER
Lost
Desperate Housewives
Alias
Gilmore Girls

plus a bunch of sit-coms as well.

I'm sure there are a lot more but here's the ones I can recall

My so called life
X-Files
Beavis & Butthead
Witchblade
Angel
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Alias
90210
Melrose Place
Twin Peaks
Dead Like Me
Carnivale
Six Feet Under
Felicity
Seinfeld
Party of Five
Sex and the City

Probably others but I can't remember them.[/QUOTE]

You told me more then I knew what happened - i stopped before that!

Which one was Sam? The curly long hair who had the baby??

I started watching the original "Law & Order" in season 2, but have since seen every episode. (in fact, one of my tags "knows who did it & why" is about my love of L&O). I loved "Friends" from beginning to end, but I never watch the repeats. And I still love "West Wing", and will watch until the end. I loved "Sports Night" in it's short life.

But, I've given up on "ER", I gave up on "Frasier", was late for "Seinfeld" and then got bored with it.
