How many shoes do you pack?

I usually pack a pair of tennis shoes, flip flops and some heels for formal nights. I usually end up just wearing the flip flops!:o

it really depends on how long im going to be down there. I am a shoeaholic. i have over 17 pairs of shoes so narrowing it down is really hard for me. i usually take about 5-7 pairs of shoes. :p i never know what mood ill be in so i pack a pair of shoes for ever mood i could have lol. the same goes for clothes. i probably pack 2-3 outfits for everyday. lol me and my mom have a major problem with packing. we have to start packing atleast 4 days before a trip

Two pair of Birks (one of which I wear on the plane) and one pair of walking shoes that I rarely wear. This does vary a little bit in the winter, depending on the weather.

Well... I was just starting to think about this for our December trip!

I packed 12 pairs of shoes and wore one on the plane last year, plus one pair of slippers. That is, all things considered, 14 pairs of shoes. I want to do better, but if I have an extra suitcase, I might as well fill it up, right?!

This year, my plan is looking like (I need to list them off to organize my thinking):

1 - Red Merrell Sandals
2 - Black Born Sandals
3 - NB Running Shoes
4 - NB Running Shoes (doing half marathon)
5 - Black Heels
6 - Brown Sandals/Shoes, depending on which seems cuter when I go to pack

(I buy lots of shoes... It must be some sort of medical condition)

7 - Flip Flops
8 - Merrell Sandals
9 - Brown sandals/shoes
10 - Blue Merrell Sandals
11 - Slippers
12 - White Shoes (it is not necessary to follow the Labor Day Law on resort property)

And puts me right back where I started, since I know there may be a few others that I am not thinking of. HELP!

Are you driving or flying. Last time we went to Orlando, they were very strict at the airport on the total weight limit on luggage. I was afraid we were going to have to leave some of our stuff in Orlando. I had the contents of the suitcases all over the floor in the baggage check in area trying to balance the suitcases so none weighed over 50 lbs. (We had three people and three bags). I had unfortunately put all our shoes in one bag, which made it weigh too much. What a hassle. Next time, I will take the lightest and fewest that I am able to do.

Funny you should ask. I was just organizing our shoes today.

DS & DD will each have a pair of Tevas, they'll wear sneakers and will pack water shoes.

I will wear Merrell Jungle Mocs, and bring a pair of Teva flip flops and a pair of water shoes.

DH is the hard one. I swear he's worse than a teenage girl with his wardrobe and shoes. I expect that he'll wear his Tommy Bahama sneakers and pack his water shoes and new balance sneakers. That's at least what I've set out for when I officially pack next weekend. He'll probably want to take a few extra pairs.

I wear a pair on the way down. Pack two pairs of T-Shoes, one pair of sandals, and a pair of water shoes for the waterparks.
I usually end up wearing all of them throughout my trip.

Usually 3. A well broken in pair of sneakers, a nicer pair of sandals or Clarks clogs, and a pair of casual flip flops for pool hopping or the water parks.

Last month I brought 2 pairs of sneakers and a pair of Teva sandals. The Tevas were the only shoes I wore and my feet felt great!

Delilah, we're actually driving and I'm used to bringing as many shoes as I want but this trip we are driving for the first time with our 7 month old DD. There's so much baby stuff to bring so I promised myself I would only bring one small suitcase. The problem is, outfits that are different colors need different shoes. I wear sneakers in the parks during the day. Then I need a different pair of sandals for each of the capris. Then flip flops for the pool. Then slippers. Before you know it, I've got six pairs of shoes! They don't all fit in my suitcase. Should I just break down and throw the excess in a little bag or should I leave some and not always be color coordinated? :earseek:

I'd pick a neutral pair of sandals that will go with all of your capris, even if it's just a matter of matching "well enough." Instead of bringing slippers, why not wear your flip flops in your room instead? That would eliminate at least one pair of shoes.

For a week long vacation..... probably 5 pair (some flip flops, tennis shoes, dress shoes for PS, or going out at night, casual shoes, and sandals)
