How many rooms with an AP discount?

I know this has been discussed before but I can't find the answer today. For some reason I thought I remembered reading you could book more then one room using your AP discount. Is this true?

Now it's only 1 room per adult AP (you must be over 18 as well not just a 10 and over AP) It used to be 3 per AP.

You're welcome. Who knows, maybe there will be a GP offer during Jan and you can get the better rate. Sometimes the GP offer is only a few dollars per night different than the AP or FL rate. Last fall it was for room only.

They're all FL residents, so if that comes out they'll be set! I had just told them we'd all stay at a value. Then we changed our plans and my kids are coming - now we're 5 people so we can't stay value anymore.

Be sure and check and see what the values are looking like for marathon weekend. They may be getting full. I know I booked a client 3 rooms for the marathon, and got them into the POP, but I think one of the other All Stars wasn't even an option, and this was about 2 months ago!

If I were you I'd go ahead and try to get the rooms booked now. You can always watch for those room-only discounts to come out, as well as any other great deals, and then get them applied to the ressie (so long as there is availability at your resort of choice).

I checked the values for them today and if they come on Sat. and leave on Tue. they have a few options. They're probably going to leave Mon. though so they'd have to book now and cancel Mon. night later.

The reason that the All Stars are filling up is that they are the only value resorts that have transportation to the Princess marathon. There is not transportation to the marathon start from POP. Check out the marathon website because it says exactly which resorts have transportation to the start of the half marathon.

That sounds like an AP pin rate. I was told by the CM who booked my AP pin reservation that I could book up to 3 rooms on the Pin so it is worth a call to see if you can do that. Good luck!

Thanks! I called to check and the first person said yes, I could do that. The second person told me I had to have an AP holder in every room so I could only book one extra using DH's name.

It worked though - we got two rooms at AP pin code rates!

Now, I guess there are 2 different AP type discounts. The PIN that has been sent out to AP holders (the first time that I know of) allows up to 3 rooms to be booked as long as travelling together. Regular AP discounts only 1 room per AP Adult holder.

Correct. 2 different discounts. I've booked the AP PIN several times and always more than one room. However, with the AP discount it's one room per AP, but since we are a family of 6 APs, it's never been an issue for us. With the lack of regular AP discounts available, esp. for January, I feel very lucky that I've gotten the last 3 AP Pin discounts. The lack of any regular AP room discounts for 2010 is very distrubing. I sure hope AP holders are writing emails instead of just venting on the disboards. I wrote my email, but doubt anyone wants to hear what they told me when they called me about it.

THere are no general AP discounts out there yet for Jan, so it must be the PIN. Did you have the 15 digit code? That's a PIN. If that's the case, call someone else. We had a regular PIN back in the spring for a free $500 gift card. I was able to book 2 rooms and at different booking times. The stay dates were the same as they have to be.

I didn't have any pin. I don't even have my AP yet, it lapsed in May and I'm getting a new one for Christmas. So confused!! Maybe I'll call later today and ask exactly what kind of discount I'm getting - but I'm afraid they'll realize they messed up and take it away!!

well, my AP expired in May as well and I got the PIN. Maybe it was a PIN that you had attached to your name. I don't know what to think. If I were you, just have the AP when you checkin, call but just say that you are wondering why you can't book 3 rooms. If you're really concerned about loosing the discount on what you have, I guess you won't be calling and have to settle.

No - I was just kidding about losing the discount. I'll probably call at some point, although my friend already booked a third room on her own so maybe I'll just leave it at that and be happy!
