We might have friends going with us to WDW. Can we reserve a room for them using our AP? Or is there a limit of 1 room per AP?

You can reserve up the 3 rooms under the ap rate. I did so for an up coming July 26th trip to BC where two other families will be joining us. So we have three rooms and the cm told us that was the limit for ap holders.

every AP can erserve three rooms. We have been doign the family reunions at WDW the past few years and have booked 3 rooms each with two different passes.

Can the people checking in still get their own cards with their names on it and stuff, or do they have to be registered under us as well?

I believe that at the time of check in they will be able to pay and present their own credit cards and such for room and incidental charges.

We booked a room under AP for ourselves and friends last fall at the YC. The resv. has to be in the AP holder's name (myself). Our friends had sick relatives so it was impt. to have room in their name in case they needed to be reached. We were told they can set it up as we wanted when we checked in. I think in the end we got the room in their name, but check in took about 1 hour because of changing name and getting the credit cards connected to the right rooms. In the end, our friends got charged all charges (from our room including) on their credit card. We wrote them a check. Hopefully it will work out better for you, just don't set your expectations high!

We had the same complications with booking three rooms. My in-laws tried to put the charges for their room on their card, which the concierge at the Poly said had been done. In the end, it was all charged to my card and they ended up writing us a check as well. It took us about an hour to check in all three rooms, due to the payment issue and wrong room assignments (two garden view and one lagoon view), but I honestly don't think this is typical. It's well worth it for everyone to get the AP rate.

If you get a CM who tells you that you can only book one room (I did the first time I called) just say thank you and call back until you get one who knows that you can book three rooms.
