We will be at WL in January for 7 nights. My parents live nearby and want to come visit while we are there (they have Fl Resident passes). They won't be staying overnight, but I thought I would get them a couple room keys so they could return to our room and take a break during the day.

DH and I sometimes split up so I don't want to give them our keys.

Is this kosher or will the front desk frown on this?

You will be issued one per person in the room.

I think they give one key for each person registered as staying in the room. I can understand that the hotels only want registered guests using the facilities. If you gave you parents a key card, then just make sure you meet up with your husband before you go back to the room. -Steph

Since they charge for more than 2 adults in the room, I don't think they would want to issue keys for 4 adults without charging.

If I were you I would ask when checking in. They might give you the keys without charging if you would not be going over the room occupancy limits.

We stayed at Pop in December. It was me in one room, with my 5yo and my mom and sister in another room. My BIL ended up joining them and my sister was given a room key for him. I was going to have him listed for my room to avoid the extra adult charge, but the CM gave him the key for my sister's room.

We first stayed at POR. It was going to be my son and myself, but my mother and sister ended up joining us for most of the nights. When I added them to the ressie and got there room keys the CM didn't charge the extra adult fee (I waited to do that until I was there).

Bottom line--ask at the hotel and you may be given the keys at no charge.

I don't think they issue more than what is in the party. Why not just let them use one of your room keys?
