How many rental points?

I hope this is the right place to ask this question...

I am trying to figure out how many points I would need to rent for a 2-bed and studio at either BWV or BCV. We would want to check in Sun after Thanksgiving 2004 and check out the next Friday.

Can anyone help me or tell me where to look? Also for budget purposes, should I estimate a rental cost of $10/point?

Look at the top of the page - points calculator. $10/point might be a good place to start your estimate. Make sure you have eveyrthing set to go before about Thanksgiving time this year, so your owner can make the reservation for you at 11 months out.

You are wanting Nov. 28-Dec 3 (5 nights).

The Studio would be 60 points and BCV or BWV preferred view and 156 points for the 2BR.

You can use the <a href="http://www.wdwinfo.com/resort/dvcpoint.cfm">DVC Point Calculator</a> here on our site to find the number of points needed at each DVC resort.

This reservation can't be made until January, 2004- but it never hurts to try to line up the rental as early as possible. That is a very popular time to be in a DVC resort.

You should post your dates/room type/resort on the Rent/Trade Board.

You should have a rentor well before the eleven month window opens for that time of year.

And congrats on your foresight to plan ahead. I was recently trying to rent out some points, and had numerous inquiries about renting points for reservations 2-3 months out. Some even sooner. I wasn't able to help most of them, but one got lucky and got a reservation for October. Diana
