How many posts before you can attach a photo?

I would really like to start entering the weekly photo contest, but at this time I am not able to attach a photo. Is there a minimum post number before the administrators allow this?

To post a pic this is what you need to do. First you must upload your pic to a hosting site such as photobucket. Then right click on your photo, go to properties and copy the hyperlink address. Then in your post click on the icon for inserting image (the yellow one with the mountaiin on it) and paste the hyperlink. Then preview your post to try it out.

I'm not sure, but I think you must have 25 posts. Go over to the Birthday Board and wish some people happy birthday. You'll have your required posts in no time.

I dont think you need any required posts. Try photobucket, it works great!

I just created a photobucket account and downloaded this picture. It was very easy to do. Does anyone know how to make the image larger now?

I have been wondering this myself as a newbie to DIS. I've also wondered how you get those time line thingys, quotes, character pictures etc.......heck all of it really. I don't even know how to get the bouncy things up and some of them are so cute (green laughing thing always tickles me). Is there a page within this site which explains all of this? I have hunted but can't see one

katytrott - to answer your question about signatures and smilies - I downloaded the timer from tickerfactory.com. There are other sites as well. The instructions were really easy, which is a good thing because I'm not savvy when it comes to technology. With regard to the smilies, e.g., the green laughing things - those are located to your right. Just click on the one you want to insert. HTH

With regards to posting pictures ...... I use imnagestation.com, but I will assume that photobucket works the same way.... when you upload your picture to photobucket .... 1) right click on the photo 2) choose properties 3) look for "address" and copy that address 4) come to the DIS and to where ever you want to post the picture 5) on the tool bar where you post there is a yellow icon with mountains on it .... click this icon 6) post the address that you copied from you picture and poof there it is in you post!

I have tried photobucket. Unfortunetely there is something wrong with our computer as we can't view our digital pictures, so i cant bring them up. I really want to know how you post the cartoon pictures. I have made a ticker thing but not sure how to get it in this post. Once you have these pictures etc, do you have to transfer each one individually on every post you make?

This may sound a dumb question but where is the Birthday Board? Its my niece's today and her mum is always on the boards for all the info for our trips! She would love a mention!
