How many points do you have?

370 points at AKV (2 Contracts). DH keeps looking at the promotions, and wants BLT points in the worst way. When we added on, we were originally planning to add on at BLT, but when we saw the pictures we didn't care for the decor! Then on our next trip to WDW, we got to tour the rooms at BLT and loved it, the pictures didn't do it justice. So DH is in search of BLT points, its not a matter of if, but a matter of when! He wants another 130 to make an even 500.

My husband and I have 160 points at VGC. You would think that since it's just the two of us, and we stay in a studio, that 160 would be enough! It's not...trust me! Since it's hard to know what the schedule on his ship is even a few months out, it makes it...interesting...to make reservations. We make it work though. :thumbsup2

260 points at AKV- initially bought 160 sight unseen, then added 100 more after our first visit. :rolleyes1

So....I wondered what others had and if they think they have too few or too many

We only have 60 pts right now and definitely it's not enough. We started small and are planning on adding points as we can afford to pay cash. We are selling a family home and planning on using my share of the proceeds to add on. The closing date is this friday and as soon as I get my share in my hands, I'll be calling the resale companies to find a contract.

240 BWV
60 BCV
100 SSR

toal 400 points

the BWV points are always in a borrowed state, and we rent out, or use the others at 7 months for the BWVs. while we love SSR, we wish we had stayed at BCV before buying there - we just don't care for the resort, and could really used more BWV points instead. we do at least 2 10-12 day studio visits a year, and a 2 bdrm for a week every other year.

someday we'll add more BWV......:cloud9:

We have 710 points

450 SSR
160 BWV
100 BLT

But always room for more!

We have 100 points at BWV and have found this to be plenty for us, even using some on the weekends, at premium times, and in 1-bedrooms. We have taken up to 2 others with us on trips. We also stay with AP discount and such in the other resorts at times... it works for us :thumbsup2

just curious why you don't care for BCV? We are trying to decide between BCV and BWV. If you are afraid to hurt the BCV folk's feelings, please feel free to PM me. Thanks!

200 at BLT. Not enough. i am loving the new 24 pts direct rent from disney right now. One day i will talk DH into more points but want to try out all the resorts before we add on and stay in a 1 BR (in July) then back to studios to really sink in the add on need!

We have 560 - 180 at AKV, 180 at SSR and 200 at BCV. When the dues bills come, I think "why do we need so many points?" and then when we start trip-planning and want to do Jambo concierge in August and a 2 BR at Hilton Head over Spring break, and then BCV for F&WF, I think "we need to add on". I would love to own at VWL but am content for now to use our SSR points there (and at VB, HHI and BLT).

I don't see us ever buying at Aulani unless we relocate from the East Coast to the West Coast. Airfare for four adults from Boston to Hawaii is at least $2,500.

Just sold about 500 and we are down to 2200 points at Disney. We sold points to buy other timeshares in Mexico and Cananda.
