How many points do you currently have?

I am just curious how many points people have on average and how they use them. I currently own 370pts and am looking into add-ons (50-100pts) but am wondering how many points is enough as I am being ridiculed by family/friends for even mentioning wanting to go to WDW more frequently and/or for longer durations.

Your thoughts???

I'm getting ready to sign my contract for 200pts at SSR. I would love to have more but that is the most our budget will allow. Maybe when we have it pd off in three years we can get some more.

Since you live in New England like I do, I would say you could buy more if you want. Beware that WDW is changing, even so, since we are from New England, we can always use our points just to get out of the cold of the winter. That is where I am right now, using my points only in January. WDW has changed too much for me to enjoy, but I love the weather down there, great place to spend the winter.

After completing the purchase of our BWV resale (please please past ROFR), we'll have 427 points. DH keeps saying, that's it right, after every add-on we've done. We started with 175 points. I don't think this is the end. I'm probably going to search for another 150 or so in a couple of years. We have enough points now for a 1 bedroom for 12 nights each year and I'm probably going to move up to a 2 bedroom when the kids are older (6 and 3) and don't want to share the same floor!! They currrently sleep on airmattresses in the living room, eventually, they'll probably want beds. I also want enough points at BWV (our add on is 152 points) to try the grand villa once!! With our points now, even with banking and borrowing, it doesn't get us much with the Grand Villa.

400 here, all have been acquired since Aug. '03, we started with 200 BWV. We're finished adding on, until we see just how these points fill our needs. We figure we'll test these out for 2 years.

We currenlty have 1150 points.We started in 1996 with 220 and keep adding on. We have 3 teens that are big people 6'5 (22yrs)and 6'2 (19) for the boys both DH and I are 6' and our daughter is 5'6( 17) (don't know where see came from) We do a 2 bedroom in HH for 5-6 nites in July ,a 2 bedroom in Jan for 5-6 nites those trips the kids ome with us then DH and I do 3-4 trips in a studio for 4-5 nites. we have 320 HH and 320 WL that we use then we either use or rent our 210 BW points and we just bought 300 SS that we plan to rent for the next 5-7 yrs then we hope to be able to do most of the winter in the south on DVC points . belive it or not we are ussually borrowing points we just love to vacation too much

We started out with 202 points at the BWV in 1998 and then when BCV was opened we bought another 202 points.

We have 620 points (2 BWV contracts, 1 for 350 points, the other for 270 points), both purchased this year. We're waiting for ROFR on a VWL contract with 370 points. If that passes, we're going to unload the smaller BWV contract -- certainly would love to keep it but the maintenance fees would be way too much!

Our recent 50 point add-on brings us to 260. We can now travel in the winter, so the points will stretch further. Here's hoping for Florida sunshine in January.

Us too. We really thought confused: ) that our original 150 points would be enough. We are now up to 682. It seems the older our kids get, the more points we need/want. Since they are only 4 & 9, I think we might be in trouble.

i started with a 100 point resale contract, never intended to end up with 975

I have a 180 BCV
225 OKW
and other 570 BCV are all 70&100 point contracts.

does anyone else have 8 contracts, like me?

Just closed on 250 at OKW.

I started out with 175 BWV points. 3 add-ons later, I now have a total of 375 points. (250 BWV and 125 BCV)

Would I love more points? Of course! Am I willing to spend more money to get more points? Nope. I'm done buying. So unless someone GIVES me some more points , 375 is where I'll stay. Thrilled to have them too!

it was not our intent to end up with 3 seperate contracts with 3 seperate use years but it was almost impossible to get bcv points at the time, i kept missing them as they went on the resale sites they were bought in minutes, in 1 case a bcv resale sold iin 12 minutes
we think this will be enough for a while, bcv and bwv are for our 2-3 1 bedroom trips a year, okw is for the every other year or so grand villa family trips that i'm treating various neices and nephews and siblings to
