So we're married, the Patriots won, we are planning to head to BCV and check in and I don't know why I'm more excited---is it because the Patriots are going to the Superbowl, or because I've just married the love of my life? Okay, okay, it's the second one by a longshot! ;)

I am also thrilled because the game ended early, it's a little past 7:00 and we should definitely make the BCV by 9:00 and my DREAM has been to watch Illuminations from the balcony with Big Al, my new dh, on our wedding night, a glass of wine or champagne in my hand!

But wait! Our dear friends, J and his wife Sprite, who were ordained ministers last year and presided over our ceremony, decide that instead of going home to Sarasota this night, they want to get a room in Orlando and spend more time with us. Awww.......How can I say "No"? Besides I figure if they go over to Kissimmee and check into the Travelodge (where they phoned ahead to make a ressie) I figure we've got an hour to make the marriage "official" before they get over to the BCV, right?

We are standing at check in when my cell phone rings. J and Sprite have decided to call Travelodge and tell them they will be very late this evening so they can come straight to BCV and be with us. Yay???? Now I LOVE J and Sprite. I love Big Al even more. But Big Al is NOT going to get any love this night. And neither is Anniet

.

But at least we get to the room (Studio #525) and it has a great view of Illuminations and I get to watch it with my new dh, a glass of wine in my hand........and J and Sprite......:crowded: The fireworks were fantastic! From our balcony we could even see the ball of fire that's released from the Earth during the performance. I just love this view and my eyes are glued to the sky until I hear the announcer's voice signaling the end of Illuminations!

When we got to the room I ran to the balcony and didn't move until after Illuminations. So fireworks done, I walk back into the room to refill my wine glass and notice something is not right....hmmmm...

I'm a new DVC member, only stayed in a studio once last year, but it was 12 days at VWL, but I know something's not right with this studio. I turn around from the kitchen and notice no vanity sink, and then I realize it!

I turn on the bathroom light and it is confirmed. Big Al and I have gotten the scourge of the DVC boards:eek:....the handicapped room! But this is a happy night, okay a happy night with a few extra people, so what??? We aren't going to complain about a little change in the studio floorplan. We've got a great room with a great view!

J & Sprite leave and it's now past midnight. I jump into bed and Big Al goes out to walk them out to the parking lot and I'm fast asleep when he returns....

AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Looking forward to your reports.....

How could anyone but in on the Honeymoon night? That is just not right-LOL.

Congratulations on the wedding! I'm really loving reading your report.

Now, I know you said you've been together 15 years but still, it was your wedding night....what were J and Sprite thinking. :earseek: :earseek:

How wonderful and romantic -- to know someone 15 years and still want to get married! :D Congratulations and thanks for the wonderful report.

I know J and Sprite are friends but you know all you would have to say is "GOOD NIGHT."

Thanks for posting.

Well, I guess it could have been worse, they could have spent the whole night with us!

Yes, I do have pics. None of the wedding are digital, although I am trying to find a place to convert one. I had a Minnie and Mickey cake topper and the photographer took a pic of them watching Al and I dancing our first dance!

Lots of WDW pics. I'll be sure to post them when I can. It's tough getting back to work and into a routine when you've been gone for 2 weeks.

Thanks for the replies everyone!

okay you are a great WISH buddy and now I am just finding out that you are a writer too!

First dibs on standing in the line for book signings :-) Bet our other buddies will be with me so maybe we can just - like have the first few spots in line ;)

Great so far can't wait for more and - oh boy - you were there a long time - so I'll have some good good reading material for the next few days.

Can't you just pretend you are working and write, write, write - shoot they did okay with out you for 2 weeks - what's another few days !

Make that first book signing somewhere warm I am sick of this cold weather - thanks :smooth:

I haven't been over here in a while and didn't know that you had posted part one so long ago.

Sorry to hear that your wedding night didn't go quite as planned:eek: .

Also sorry to hear that you go the handicapped room, but it sounds like it was a great room to see the fireworks. Was it worth it do you think?

Can't wait to read the next installment, has one been posted? I'm off to do a search.

I have to agree with AEG, you are a great writer, can't wait to hear more and see some pictures.::yes::
