Just a thought here. While I am sitting here having hot chocolate this morning, was remembering some of the nice people we met at WDW a few weeks ago.

First there was the wonderful safari driver that was a lot like Jim Carrey, very funny!
Then at MK the security guard searching my backpack saw that we were from Ohio. When I told him we were from Delaware he informed me that he went to Ohio Wesleyan University, right here. So, I told him, "Go Bishops!"
It made us both smile.

When we went to MGM the young man standing by the board (the one that shows what time everything is going on), noticed my sons OSU jacket.
He asked where we were from and that he had graduated 2 years ago from OSU. Nice kid.

I had to do laundry at the hotel and ran into a family from Chicago doing theirs. We said goodbye and have a safe trip home, never expecting to see them again. Well...the next day.....
We got a fast pass for Test track and ended up sitting by that same husband and wife!! In all of Epcot, we sat with them!!
While standing in the first line for Test track we met a couple and their 3 children from Dallas. Their DD was so cute and told me all about her mom growing up in Hong Kong. Mom finally met up with them after she got her fast passes to Soarin'. Wonderful family.

What a fun time we had. Spoke to a gentleman and his son from England while we were in line for Soarin. Wonderful people!

Hope you all have met some nice, interesting, good people while you were there, too!

I think that the best people are the ones that sit and talk to you and its allmost like we are friends.....met someone on a plane last December and then again in Epcot and then on the way home......strange to see strangers become chatters too......

I have met people from all over the world and the cms are the best.....met a server at ALL star movies food court and we saw her four times......or the server at Donalds Restaurantssaurus for breakfast and we thought she was the best........we have had her four or five years in a row.....finally told a manager about the outstanding workers.....they appreciate that once in a while....

I am a CM and I LOVE meeting all the cool guests from the various places and walks of life. It makes for a more pleasant day for me and for them when we have a nice chat. I especially enjoy interacting with all the adorable children. I try to distract and make happy the occasional child who is tired/grumpy. If we can get them to smile and make things more pleasant for the parents then we are doing our jobs well.
Just this past Sat. I was talking with an international family (spoke spanish as main language and some english) and their little girl was so cute (about 3 yr) well, she decided that she really liked me and she grabbed ahold of my hand and wanted me to go with her to the presentation stage (inside Conservation Station DAK) so that she could pet the snake the keeper was holding. It was so sweet. Her mother was so surprised to see her little girl take so warmly to me. I think small kids are like dogs and horses where they have a keen sense of whom to trust and whom not to trust.

She was adorable and it made my day! (She didn't speak any english herself) But she understood my language of kindness to her and that's what counts right?

I have also enjoyed many wonderful conversations with guests who ask great questions. I encourage everyone to find a cast member at some point on their trip and have a friendly conversation. We do our jobs because we enjoy working around and for the public.....don't be afraid to talk to us! :earsboy:
