We are traveling w/relatives & linked reservations so we can have dinner together.
If our friends book too, how many people can be seated together?
Also is there a way to be seated together without linking reservations?
Thanks.

I believe the only way to be sure you will all be seated together would by by linking. I mean, how does DCL know you want to sit together, unless you link?

There is one large table (10-14 people) in most dining rooms, but smaller table can be placed together to make bigger ones.

Each serving team serves a 4 top, a 6 top, and an 8 top table (18 people total), but I've seem them get more.

One note - it's difficult to carry on good conversations with tables larger than 8.

Just call Disney and let them know what you want, they will "link" reservations if they have too, but don't worry...let them decide.

We have seen a number of groups seated at adjoining tables, so they were all together in that sense. The large 12-seater in the middle of some MDRs is pretty cool, and though we haven't sat at one the people who have said it was a blast, and easy for everyone to talk and interact. They felt special being at the center of the place!

We had a group of 15 in the MDRs. We ended up putting the kids at one end and the adults at the other end, which worked out well for everyone.

We were just under 30 on the Wonder, and as I recall, we had 2 tables back to back or in an L shape to each other, depending on the restaurant. And 2 waiters all to ourselves (which always confuses me when people talk about their dining experiences in small groups, having to share a waiter!)

They are tables of two..... let the cruise line know your party size and they will group the tables together in one long row. Please don't play musical chairs with the servers.

Thank you for your response. I didn't have any intention of playing musical chairs with the servers.

I am just trying to find out how many people can be seated together.

I asked about linking reservations because when I linked w/my children, we could see each other's complete info. Same when we linked w/my sister. Right now all three cabins are linked, so we can have dinner together.

Friends of ours are thinking of joining us. If they book the same cruise, I was wondering if we would have to link to have dinner together (& see complete reservations w/prices & payments) or if there was another way, such as calling DCL.

Sorry my original post wasn't clear.

Thank you all for your responses.

I ended up calling DCL & there isn't a set number of people allowed at a table. It depends on the number of requests they get. They make every effort to seat people together at one table & if that's not possible, they will seat you as close together as they can.

I was told that when you link reservations online, the parties linked can see each other's info. If you call DCL & have the reservations linked, you won't see cost & payments for other cabin(s).
